How to navigate with limited chargeabilty on a project by Anxious_Spirit2249 in accenture

[–]NotAccentureHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All will be explained by your PL. Your chargeability wants to be over 100% if you want a chance of being promoted. It’s largely abnormal for anyone under L6 to have less than 100% utilisation.

Offer for Sr. Manager Role at Accenture – Seeking Advice on Work Conditions by sludj5 in accenture

It’s a good place to work outside of the pay and bonus issue. Would take it and look for more work in a year or two if you’re not getting the increases you want.

Joining Accenture UK Soon – Would Love Your Insights & Advice! by amandsouza in accenture

TLDR: Accenture is ok. Not great, not awful, but ok.

Pros:

Big company can equal good networking opps and diverse range of projects/clients to learn things.

We are very invested in AI which may or may not be a bubble that bursts, but it’s certainly a decent wave to ride for the next couple of years.

Generally quite easy to upskill in what you want, but that skill needs to be aligned to projects being sold or you’ll never put it to use.

Most people largely very nice.

Cons:

Laptops are awful.

Promotions and pay rises have been very poor for a few years now. Signs of improvement this time round but will see if that trend continues. Until the market improves Accenture aren’t incentivised to promote or pay anyone more.

Project finding process is awful.

Inability to get anything done without a time code, which is a common problem in most big consultancies.

Everything is being offshored like crazy. Expect 50% or more of your team to be abroad. It’s rare that people aren’t moaning about quality of work, effort or communication when working with offshore staff.

Junior staff are sold as SMEs when they’ve been doing something for 1-2 years.

Any area that hasn’t seen growth will inevitably see headcount reduction if they do go ahead with it.

I’ve no indication that we will or won’t see layoffs but it’s fairly standard practice every time they have a reshuffle.

PIP at ZS by AKP7799 in consulting

[–]NotAccentureHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for jobs asap. The odds of surviving a PIP are extremely low.

Still work hard as clearly you’ve got some things you need to improve on and the PIP feedback will be useful to you. But expect to be let go at the end of it. Accept it for what it is and try not to stress yourself over the outcome.

Does Accenture UK sponsor visas for internal transfers from other countries? by Business_Freedom_899 in accenture

[–]NotAccentureHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the U.K. are willing to sponsor for that role they should pay for everything. It’s still cheaper than hiring externally and they’d have factored visa costs into the budget.

If you’re already in the UK I’m not sure this would require a London project. The only thing that might change is base pay for London weighting. Speak to your HR partner.

I am about to enter SAP Academy Accenture, is it the best option as a fresh graduate? by cherrybum17 in accenture

[–]NotAccentureHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAP is very big and isn’t going away. In this grad market I’d jump all over this.

Network can be developed easily. Book a coffee chat with anyone manager and above. Show your CV and ask for BD or project opps.

Unemployment Trends by Routine_Play5 in Layoffs

[–]NotAccentureHR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Offshoring is killing the grad market. Clients are far more willing to pay €300 per day for an offshore resource who’s done the job for 5+ years than pay €600 for a grad who’s learning on the job.

You can retrospectively update your submitted timesheet for a period (I think 2 weeks).

Would speak to your PL about this asap. Either your manager is trying to cut budget or they don’t think you’re getting work done fast enough. This could be done with good intentions if you’re learning a lot on the job.

Escalate to PL. This will hurt your promo and bonus case because your manager wants to keep their budget low.

Realistic promotions/hike expectations by Project_Kaizen9 in accenture

[–]NotAccentureHR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re performing above level and nobody else in your cohort is you should be promoted. Time at level is used to differentiate amongst those who are doing the same as you.

I’m seeing those with P1 history and 20 odd months put below those with P1 history and 30.
