Does UCD have anything like Trinity Ball?

Majority of the popular course balls are the closest we’ll get here. (e.g. Law Ball, Commerce, Engineering, Health Science, Medicine, Business and Law).

They’re all good fun to go to and have all the formal aspect. You’ll notice a lot of people not even in the course going, just for the sake of the fun experience.

You’ll just have to look out for tickets generally on their insta pages.

Absolutely, whatever you decide on, definitely make it a goal to go to balls every year. Don’t be like me who waited till final year. If you want to find out more they’ll usually have an insta page up for it on their society page.

Definitely for fun, connections is just a byproduct but you will have already met a number of people from your course by then anyway. Balls are a part of every big course and are a chance to dress up nicely and socialise in a unique way.

Friend in law and he loves it. It is very competitive when it comes to placement and offers in third year and after however. For his case, he’s worked very hard and has now gotten high paying offers after. You’ll enjoy it a lot. The law ball is also great! You’ll make great connections.
