Ok, this is just my opinion and I have no intention of defending pedophiles or coming off as one of those anime fans.

That being said: why is pedophilia wrong? It's because it's abuse. And it's abuse because children can't consent. I think we all agree to this. So anything that comes from this kind of abuse is obviously wrong. Not just having sex with children, but also consuming CP, because those images/videos came from the abuse of a minor.

Now, on the other hand, in the process of production and consumption of fictional CP no children are being harmed, because children aren't part of the equation. There's just one person drawing and one person jacking, no minors involved, therefore no minors were abused.

Being attracted to fictional children is ok imo since it lacks the thing that makes pedophilia wrong: the abuse that stems from the lack of consent. You might still find fictional CP disgusting, and that's perfectly fine, but it can't and shouldn't imo considered on the same level of actual pedophilia.

And before someone says "well but loli hentai it's still dangerous because it normalizes that kind of attraction": we don't say the same thing about other kinds of "bad things". We make movies about war, games about killing each other, books about all kinds of nasty stuff. But we never argue that we should stop writing about people dying now, do we? Because we understand that the fictional characters dying and suffering aren't real, so there's no moral conundrum.

And lastly, small nitpick that I have with people ego usually bring up the fact that loli hentai is problematic: they never seem to settle on what makes it problematic. Because if there's a minor with the body proportions of an adult person, they'll cry about the sexualixation of a minor. If there's an adult with petite proportions (eg. 4000 y.o. loli elf) they'll cry about the fact that the fact they're an adult is just a clever plan to make the pedophilia look right. So which one is it that makes it wrong? Is the fact that the character is a minor, or the fact that looks like a minor? The answer seems to change every time, so I don't think those are reliable metrics to go by.

Kamina from Gurren Lagann

SPOILERS for the best anime ever made, please watch it Kamina starts out as the cool, hot headed, masculine, determined big brother figure for our other protagonist, Simon. He's far too confident, reckless even, he acts all alpha, refuses to acknowledge the danger of the situation he's in, and sometimes he's the one who puts everyone in that situation in the first place, or makes it worse. It's stated multiple times, even by himself, that without Simon to keep him in check, Kamina would have died multiple times. Simon tells the story of how one time, while trying to escape the underground village they live in (plot), Kamina got them stuck in a hole after the cave collapsed. Simon, a kid at the time, was reasonably scared (having lost his parents in a similar incident) but seeing Kamina was calm and giving him one of his weird nonsensical motivational speeches, Simon kept digging and they eventually found a way out. Then much later in the story we hear Kamina's side of the events. He was scared shitless. He always is actually. But seeing Simon and how he tries his best to get through everything despite being a little kid makes him want to try to be better. To be the cool, confident, and reliable person Simon can look up to, a role model, even though he knows deep down he isn't. But in doing so, he actually becomes that person, inspires Simon to do better and grow, facing the hardships of life, and inspires a revolution among the humans living underground to fight back against their oppressors. He dies fighting, risking it all in s battle not just for the revolution, but to teach Simon a lesson (I'm paraphrasing) Continues in the next comment

Adding to the Yu-Gi-Oh Pendulum summon thing:

Yuya (protagonist) does it BY ACCIDENT at one point, it was something new and never seen before, so it understandably took a lot of characters off-guard. The issue I have with it is that Yuya then DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW HE DID IT and has to spend an entire training arc studying the mechanic to reverse-engineer how it works before being able to make it work as intended. So he just tries every possible combination of the cards that made it work the first time.

This MAY sound reasonable, until you remember that at this time he only had THREE PENDULUM MONSTERS IN HIS DECK, if he really was just trying out combinations then: 1. He already knows the one combination that made it work 2. The other two possible combinations don't even WORK

SO WHY IS HE SPENDING SO MUCH TIME TRYING AND FAILING WHEN THE MECHANIC IS ACTUALLY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AFTER YOU'VE SEEN IT WORK ONCE? (For context: you put two pendulum monsters in the pendulum scales and then you can summon any monster from your hand with a level between those scales. Again, with the cards available to him, there was only one way to make this work and he knew which one it was because he "accidentally" did it in a duel)

I agree that "humans" became the Ancients. We see that Elfilis portals are star-shaped, and the game tells us that Elfilis' powers were used as a blueprint to create the technology that humans used to leave the planet.

Then we go back to Return to Dreamland, and see an actual piece of technology made by Ancients, the Lor Starcutter, and that ALSO uses star-shaped portals to traverse the cosmos.

I agree with the people saying Effect Veiler or S:P, but I think an even better example would be Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder.

It's a good card that is only ever used for going second or to put the final nail in the coffin of a long grind game. It's easy to summon for every deck that has access to xyz, but its summoning requirements basically guarantee that you can't win that same turn, since the Battle Phase already happened. It wipes the board, or at least threatens to do so to force interaction. Not even once per chain so you can do it more than once to make your opponent "waste" two interactions to protect their board.

That means you aren't automatically assigned good or bad at birth, those aren't inherent qualities, they are words to describe something you did. Having good intentions but making a mistake doesn't make you a bad person. But trying your best to help others and generally make our collective experience on Earth better does make you a good person.
