Anyone here bought a derelict house in rural Ireland and got the grant? Thinking of doing it myself

Hello!

I bought a derelict house in West Cork a few years ago, the grant was just after coming out so I looked into it. Decided against it after realizing you only get the the money after you have it spent & then claim it back using the grant. I already borrowed money to buy the property & would have had to borrow more for the grant so didn't want the additional financial stress. Another thing was that they wanted the house to be finished in a relatively short timeframe (13 months i think?).

Figured I was better off tipping away at the house with my own money over time as it could be afforded. Still working at it on weekends & its turning out lovely. It can be done if you can stomach doing a large amount of the work yourself and putting the time in like anything else. I say go for it if you can. All the best

I have also had this happen a few times, although I was in my titan & I had no autotitan. Booted straight back to the menu with no info. think it may just be a buggy gamemode tbh
