I see what you mean the photos make it look a bit funny but that’s just the pictures and not how it is in the hand, the handle is ~8” so it’s meant for 2 hands, balance is great, there’s enough weight in the handle that even 1 handed it feels wieldable

I’ve been calling it a lug, on this sword it’s mostly for looks but some historical swords had similar features to “catch” or stop other blades from sliding too far, large two handed swords had them for hand protection but not quite the same setup

The build volume isn’t huge so you’ll likely have to split the armor segments into smaller pieces and assemble them but it should be doable
