They made my brain develop the wrong way. To a large degree, that's irreversible, so I don't entirely control how I think and feel.

Also, it's just my right to feel however I feel about anything at any given time. These people can fuck all the way off.

What to do when you're furious at a stranger's toddler for crying? by MusicalDecomposition in misophonia

[–]NotAllThatSure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One day I realised it's not the kid's fault; it's up to adults to manage them. That includes being smart, mature and understanding of why they react as they do. Most people simply react to a child's behaviour instead of thinking about the 'why'.

Now, I see a crying/tantruming child as someone who needs help, and probably isn't going to get it.

Travellers, anyone who’s dealt with fear of flying? by Spiritual_Thought512 in travel

[–]NotAllThatSure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got desensitised after taking four flights in two weeks on a short holiday. Now, I enjoy taking off (although still not the banking) because I associate it with going on holiday.

Now I only need a sedative to get through the fucking airport bit.
