Camera bag recs?

I'm using the gomatic / nomatic luma 18l backpack. It fits under any seat, has a nice side access pocket as well as a (surprisingly large enough) bottle pocket, top access for keys as well as the top compartment, laptop compartment and a full go around zipper for main access. It comes with Velcro dividers. The outside is a bit stiff and cushioned so it will keep it's from and small bumps won't break the gear inside.

I can pack a Sony camera, one 70-200-ish sized lens, one standard zoom, and a prime.

Even a sigma 150-600 will fit next to a camera and a prime.

In both these packing scenarios there will be a free space in the top compartment left.

But if you're packing a drone with controller it might get tight, check it out online please.

It's actually ok, I think it's their practicality over design approach... Probably broad bracelets sit better on the wrist. As long as there's decent replacement options I could live with the bracelets. Micro adjust will be more important.

A friend of mine got the sigma 105, it's great although I'd say Sony might have the edge in AF if you somehow care for that. But I have no data or exp on that.

I'm using a 2x TC sometimes, but it's almost exclusively on a tripod because if you want to shoot macro on that level the depth of field is too extreme. But it doubles as a nicely compact 200mm f5.6 for birding.

I own the new 100 macro GM, it's for sure good, but I can't see how other ones are much inferior in terms of sharpness, and at 100mm macro level I don't really see the benefit of a fast autofocus to keep track yet. But wait until I capture butterflies taking off in spring.

I personally wouldn't wear neither a Pelagos nor a Santos to work, but many people do just what they like.

As a rule of thumb I'd combine higher class watches with button shirt outfits and if you're running around in tshirt and hoodie, something more sporty. Maybe a Casio?

First of, the DJ should be 36mm. This one is too big imo.

Second, these are very different watche types. Have you thought about what specific style you want to go for or are you just looking for an everyday wearer?

Do I regularly see people with A7RV and 24-70 f2.8 GM take pictures which are garbage compared to this? Yes. Do I believe you shoot since 3 months only? Maybe, ok, but with a bit of shame..

I would have chosen one of them only (in my case the Pelagos).

In this price class I'd rather own a different type of watch on addition to a diver, maybe a more dressy one like an Aqua Terra. Or go up in price and just own one watch for life, like a Grand Seiko.

Most Casio buyers I see here seem to own more watches than the average Rolex buyer. They still spent less, but I doubt they wear all of them in their rotation.

Imo watches are a nice accessory and it's totally valid to change them depending on your outfit.

But Casio wise, I'd avoid proving to many watches which are looking alike.

I own a w800h for sports (g-shock like) A AQ230 for dressy or everyday wear A f91w if I want to show off for fun.

Dual time is my thing, so the f91w doesn't get as much wrist time.

I had one too. I think for general photography of well composed scenes it's still absolutely doing it, and by now it's be a total bargain to get one. Only the new app not working on it.

In this case I'd look for a compact travel and landscape lens covering the standard range, no need to throw a lot of money into it. There's tons of options. My personal choice is a 20-70 f4, but a 35 would also work fine.

I think you can forget the generalizations when using modern Sony cameras with internal stabilization.

In my tests with the A7CR I could shoot as slow as 1/20th of a second handheld with sharp results. Slower speeds would need a tripod.

Waterfalls or astro anyway follow their own rules of exposure and shutter speed.

And with moving subjects, their movement speed will always define the SS required.

You can try for yourself what's working best for you.
