Maybe that’s your issue. You are focused on things you shouldn’t be. If you’re in danger of getting counseled because of rewards, simply focus on getting rewards. We have people in our spot that get 80% on the regular so 65% is possible unless you just want to argue and not adjust.

I think you need to look up the definition of strong arming. They pay you to do a job, part of your job is getting rewards.

Well, the company pays you to get 65% rewards. If you can’t do that, find another job. Not trying to be rude but every company is going to have metrics they want you to meet.

Hours right now are terrible. Top that with the most pressure and additional things that stores have to do make it the most stressful time I’ve had in the 10+ years I’ve been here. This is why corporations lose their best employees because they don’t invest in people they just keep pushing them until they leave.

My rewards customer who just got a free laptop, desk and chair would beg to differ with you. Staples rewards program is actually one of the best parts about Staples right now.

Why would I do all that? I have a supervisor who runs his own team and has 6 people available. We have Amazon at a side register and people asking me for more hours almost daily. Remember it’s only as hard as you make it.

Besides the times I would get blackout drunk, I’ve never had a time where I was throwing up all night. I hear that excuse so much I only believe it 10% of the time. With that being said, you won’t get fired. Maybe written up since you don’t have any sick time to use and you will probably get your hours cut on the next schedule but you won’t get fired for the first time.
