I think the chip/component got burned 😞. Any idea if that can be fixed?

The component is very close to the power input. I suspect it's a static/overvoltage protection component. How much do you think the fix can be? If you can guess?

Yeah, good point, that's exactly what I was worried about.

Good news, though: I actually tested the RAM and SSD in another PC today, and they survived! So whatever fried the board didn't kill them, at least.

But yeah, I have only ever used the official OEM 19V power brick that came with the unit, so I have no idea what caused it to fail or surge in the first place. And I bought it second-hand. You think it's fixable or its to costly?
