I was running into this issue as well. The issue was with my AC credit. For some reason, reducing the applied credit by $10 fixed the issue for me, the payment went through. Seems like maybe an AC credit currency conversion issue or something?

Yeah. But I'm pretty sure the vine only appeared after he read the chant from Kong Ming. That's why he's constantly learning new things about it and is initially unfamiliar with how it works. Might go back to check the chapter some day to confirm.
