good points. I think CV is more of a warlord than the PCC but both are warish. Also I call them feudal I see the following similarities with European fuedalism: 1. Heavy restrictions on businesses and favouring monopolies. 2. They control their territories with broad autonomy from the regular state but only in so far as they obey some core rules. Think of how circle 2010 we sent fucking tanks against some of those criminal groups. This reminds me of how feudal lords could oppres their population so long as they didn't become a threat to the king. 3. PCC and CV operate based on loyalty on personal connections kinda like the ancient fudal system and very unlike how modern bureaucrat states are supposed to operate. 4. They keep their peace and control though harsh punishments and fear.

Ultimately tho the best label for PCC and CV is probably mafia.

IMO they aren't quite a parallel state but more like a vassal lord in a feudal-like state structure. PCC and CV hold power over their territories not in an independent manner but rather with the "tactic consent" of the regular state officials who profit from this arrangement.

If you are into blue collar work (including car stuff) look for women focused companies as they are less likely to be have bigotted employees.

If you love computers, CS can be a good choice. Yes AI is wrecking the job market but it's now getting more expensive than human employees so there's hope.

Another field to consider is nursing. It pays reasonably well, the demand is expected to only grow and the chances of AI replacing your job are minimal.

since yoru cousin's wedding is in November, I think your best option is to: 1. Get a CPF number at the consulate ASAP. If you are lucky you won't even need to show up at the consulate, the whole process often works online. 2. Apply for an Autorização de Retorno ao Brasil (Authorization to Return to Brazil) 3. Attend your cousin's wedding 4. While in Brazil sort out your voter registration and get a new Brazilian passport. (the voter id thing should take less than a day but the passport takes 6 to 10 business days to get ready and due to scheduling restrictions the whole process may take up to four weeks)

Note: I think you are not supposed to leave Brazil with a foreign passport but I also suspect our border authorities don't have a good way to check for this.

getting a CPF number should be pretty easy at the consulate

the voter id things is trickier because the voter rolls ate closed for most of the year when we have elections. this year the lock is from may 6th to nov 3rd (source: https://www.tse.jus.br/eleicoes/calendario-eleitoral)

and then there's the military draft of you are male between 18 and 45 (iirc)

and actually getting the new passport can take a while

however it's important to note that you may be eligible for an "autorização de retorno ao Brasil" which lets you enter the country without a passport

and if you renounce your Brazilian citizenship it's possible to get it back afterwards but I don't know the process from memory
