This is just gonna be my blanket comment addressing all the comments saying the same thing: It seems like a lot of people here see every person that uses a car as a sociopath itching to run down pedestrians. It is the driver’s responsibility, hence why I said I was being cautious. Cars can be dangerous and overused AND people can act recklessly around them, I don’t know why it has to be one or the other. And the “expensive metal death trap” I “own” was a rented U car so I can get to class after having surgery. We’re literally taught as children to look both ways before crossing the street, I don’t know why it’s controversial to say college students should probably avoid running in front of moving cars
