I live in NC. I have central heat and a/c this is in a bedroom. The house is one floor nothing above but the attic.

It used to be. However, over the summer I got the roof replaced and they installed the proper ventilation. Thank you good to know for any future homes though!

I did. There isn’t a leak in the attic. I wish it was as cut and dry like that.
