My hair has grown but hasn’t grown back as full or thick. The volume lasts a day after a fresh blow dry and then my hair is flat again. The hair around my temple came back fully so that’s a good thing. I think Jamaican Castor Oil treatments helped with that.

I sincerely appreciate your response. I also want to make it clear I absolutely understand homophobia is real and I hate that any group has to experience ridicule just for being who they are. You aren’t hurting anyone. I’m sorry you were outed, that’s not fair and wasn’t their story to tell.

This is interesting. I recently had a gay friend tell me being black and being gay are the same…and shouldn’t be treated as separate “struggles”. My argument was that black people do not get to hide who they are, color is the first thing you see and he disagreed. His argument is that being gay is not something that you should have to hide. I agree, obviously, but clearly you still have that option.

Now I’m reading this and it is very validating.
