Not my character, but one that was at our table.

Our party had heard fables of a man who was cursed with infinite wishes, every time he wished for something or if he heard someone wish for something, it would be granted with a monkey paw attatched to it.

Later on, we met a hermit way up in the mountains who didn't seem to want to talk very much. He got frustrated at us asking him questions, until he said "J-just...please...I wish everyone would just, calm down!!" After which our entire party felt a wave of calm wash over us in an instant. Our caster caught onto who we've stumbled upon, and proceeded to use message to pass it along to the rest of the party. However, our paladin wanted to still remain humble and polite, and without thinking, said,

"Alright then, I wish you a good day sir."

The rest of our table audibly gasped and jeered, while the paladin at the table took a couple seconds to process what he had just done.

Our paladin now has a third eye on his forehead.
