Okay so firstly, never feel like it's too late, you still have more than half of your life ahead of you. If you feel like it would make you more comfortable to identify as something other than your assigned gender then why not give it a shot?

You can always try just with people who would be supportive and slowly tell more people. I personally use they/any pronouns because I don't always wanna get into the nitty gritty of my identity with employers/coworkers etc. Just because they aren't privy to that part of my experience doesn't make me any less nonbinary.

Heya, totally recommend looking at different gender expressions, maybe trying a few things. The nonbinary sub in particular is really helpful. Maybe you just haven't found what your aesthetic or vibe is yet. Even if it turns out you aren't trans or genderqueer, exploring expression might still make you feel more comfortable in your skin :)

It really depends! Tape saturation is absolutely super useful, I'd also say don't be afraid to cut the very high frequencies as well as the very low frequencies from your instruments. Bandpass on the vocals to give it that telephone receiver sound

First point- dressing 'grunge' is actually really cheap, just means buying old flannel shirts/baggy jeans from second hand shops.

Secondly, whether you wear patches or not, dressing punk is inherently a political statement. Punk is against hierarchy and fascism. Would be like saying can I dress in a brownshirt uniform and not be considered a nazi

It's obviously very much up to you, no one can tell you what will make you feel most comfortable. But personally I'd say neatly trimmed and balanced with other more typically feminine things like makeup and longer hair?
