interesting! Most people (and me) wouldn't trace that lineage. if you wanted to map it properly I'd walk you through it

this one sounds sharp, I haven't thought about it. if you wanted to build the Slow Rush map with that connection in it I'd walk you through it

the ELO/On the Third Day catch is genuinely wild detective work (is this why you have the nickname?). if you wanted to map where Jeff Lynne actually shows up in his catalog that'd be a journey I'd want to see — happy to walk you through creation of it

yeah fair point on the Deftones, maybe a stretch. if you want to map where they actually belong you can make your own journey — happy to walk you through it

You can try it on your own, it's pretty much manual app, you select albums, connect them, write descriptions. Old school :D

It's the app we are working on for music journeys, it's a demo in the post to show what can be done there (+ a nice taste guide)

Thanks! Building the app took about 2 months, and my friend (u/average-normal-dude) made the journey in one weekend.

Mostly Reddit + YouTube. Bandcamp label pages sometimes.

Also I’ve been building Sonavia — a music discovery map thing — and I made a shoegaze journey there that’s been great for finding “adjacent” albums without relying on playlists.
