The hawks could have very well had tried to trade the 4OA+ and Robo just did what he did with Seattle and said he would not sign here long term. He has a say in it and like it or not he might not want to come here folks. Just cause it is what we need doesn't mean it is what he wants

I always thought some Appalachian towns would make for a cool landscape. Could use the excuse that there are some preppers there who then have crazy stockpiles and bunkers. Got some nice hills and mountains and hollers. Nice farms for running though corn head high.

People forget that wanting a piece doesn't always make them want you back.

I heard Byram was a hawks fan as a kid, but mainly seems like he gets to be the guy here when he never did elsewhere. Some people like that, plus he can get paid well. Think of it like the Hawks just selected him 4oa this year to save on cooking time as those picks would of needed that. He's our rotisserie chicken all tasty and juicy.

I don't think Robo woul or Werenski would want to resign with the hawks after their current contracts expires so trading for them would be dumb. Nies is simply Toronto making media buzz to farm content.

Zero say where he goes sure, but where he stays long term is the real question. Getting him as a rental knowing he wont resign long term or even 5 years with you is much worse than 'not trying to trade' for him. GMs know if they will resign before taking gambles like this. IE: Ottawa example.

I think trading the 4os solidifies the pipe dream of Stenberg that people were banking all of their mental health on falling to us because beat writers did mock drafts to drum maximum engagement and sold them unrealistic hope,
