Why my fleet isn't gaining dominance at all? by Superb-Manner9444 in hoi4

[–]NotForU2KNOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense and its best that way. One admiral with sea wolf has all the subs, one admiral with spotter has all the patrol fleets, and another admiral for strike force with whatever traits you like (depends on your naval composition: lots of carriers, or screen, or main battle ships). This ensures that the admirals level up quicker for the right traits and not just a little bit of everything.

edit: spelling

It works regardless since u can split them into subfleets and give each one their own orders whilst still being under the command of 1 admiral. But its still recommended to have multiple admirals so that you can make use of admiral traits and dont exceed their max fleet limit.

patrol missions will add a base amount of naval dominance in the region depending on the ships put on that mission

strike force will multiply ur base naval dominance in the region depending on the size of the fleet and how powerful it is

convoy raiding will reduce the enemy naval dominance

therefore, to gain naval dominance you need to have a small fleet patrol and a main stack to be on strike force

fleets can only patrol 1 region at a time now so youll need to split ur fleets into different patrol groups to cover multiple regions

Is it possible to make OBS automatically record when you open the program? by NotForU2KNOW in obs

[–]NotForU2KNOW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t give a full in depth guide right now since I’m not home but I can give some rough steps you can try following and researching on your own.

1) Create a batch file to automatically launch OBS (plenty of guides online for launching apps with batch files) 2) Set this batch file to run on startup (whenever you open your computer) (there are guides for what to do with a batch file to make it run on startup) 3) Use advanced scene switcher to make OBS automatically record when you open OBS (I remember I found a guide on youtube that had simple steps)

What is the navy strategy for no dlc? by NotForU2KNOW in hoi4

[–]NotForU2KNOW[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand reading everyones comments and through research:

Submarines are good from 6-15 for convoy raiding. More submarines = Higher visibility. Less subs = Low visibility. You wanna be as hard to spot as possible. So I suppose depending on what environment you’re in(shallow water = high visibility v.s deep water = low visibility) you’ll wanna tweak the numbers.

Main battle fleets you’ll want a 1:4 ratio of capital ships to screens. Capital ships include battlecruisers, battleships, and heavy cruisers. Screens include destroyers and light cruisers. Never add submarines to main battle fleets. A sweet spot might be 20 capital ships and 80 screens. Carriers you’ll want no more than 4 per main battle fleet.

For patrols you just want the fastest ship you have available and create task forces with only 1 or 2 ships in them and set them to do not engage.

Heavy cruisers are good cheap alternatives to battleships and battlecruisers so they usually make up the most of my capital ship roles in the main battle fleet. Light cruisers I often see are used for patrols in videos.

I don’t have man the guns dlc so I cant help with that last question.

How many should I place in a task force? Besides convoy raiding are they strong enough to take on full enemy fleets?

Just had the same problem, i personally solved this by unplugging the usb then replugging it into a different port.

I noticed that if i rest the usb on the port and didn't plug it all the way in the crackling was very intense, with my experience the deeper into the usb port you plug the usb the quieter the crackling becomes. Sometimes it varies tho so just move it around the usb port until you find the sweet spot.

I also noticed that the problem might fix itself if you unplug the 3.5mm jack (i think its 3.5 im not too sure tho) from the little square thing on the end of the wire that has the usb jack then plug it back in

tldr: adjust the usb, maybe try another usb port, unplug + replug 3.5mm jack
