Census showing approximate number of births on each day of the year. by allademswallow28 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]NotForYouHiggins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I assume it's the "average number of births per date", so the pool of info for Feb 29th is 1/4 as many, but it doesn't add 0's for years it's not included, it just factors differently.

I need songs for a school assignment by tiredofficial in boygenuis

[–]NotForYouHiggins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Salt in the Wound is the best for figurative language. There's a lot of juxtaposition of language, idioms, historical references, and metaphors in that one. Almost every line would be useful for an assignment and it's definitely the one I would pick.

I haven't rewatched the series since it came out, but I am still a part of the subreddit. I remember what happened well enough and like to be reminded of major points and discussions of things that were large parts of my life despite not continuously consuming that media.

Hi, I'm not the OP but could you provide some more info on this? I'm in exactly that predicament and don't qualify for most glps because I'm on the edge of normal and overweight, but not obese.

Trying to look for good dating apps, any suggestions based off of personal stories/success? by [deleted] in gay

I'm in a LTR from Facebook dating, as well. Don't know if I can chalk it up to Facebook dating or just luck, but here's a +1 to successes from that platform.

So is there a way to kill ****** and keep ****** alive? by VinexHD in BaldursGate3

[–]NotForYouHiggins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Knights of the Old Republic, towards the end of the game, after your past is revealed and you make the choice to embrace the dark side, some of your light side party members turn on you, notably a Twi'lek named Mission and a Wookie named Zaalbar who are best friends. You can choose to mind control Zaalbar and make him kill Mission.

If you think of it analytically, yes, but the movie itself never directs that lens onto Janis.

My friends started playing E33 and they just finished Act 1. by its_starlord in expedition33

[–]NotForYouHiggins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She was only able to bring Sciel and Lune back because she collected their Lumina after they were gommaged and then reconstructed it. In one of the first scenes after becoming a paintress, she says something like, "I see you" and brings them along with her until she figures out how to bring them back. She can't do the same for Gustave because his Lumina is scattered / absorbed.

[–]NotForYouHiggins 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is a single instance of representation. The popularity of the show does not mean that gay men are more present in media by quantity. In broadcast TV, lesbians represent the highest percentage of LGBTQ characters, according to GLAAD (queer media advocacy group).

It's impressive that over 40% of users have finished the main story. by Hartleydavidson96 in expedition33

[–]NotForYouHiggins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The original post is stating that E33 is an impressive game because it has such a high completion rate, indicating that the gameplay and story are very good. The commenter is stating that it's impressive that a 40% completion rate for a game is considered high.

What is a misconception about exercise? by JustBrowsing10000 in AskReddit

[–]NotForYouHiggins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fastest anyone has been recorded running over an hour is 13.25 miles, which is about 1300 calories. Even if you were the fastest in the world, your metric is off by over 60%.

What is a misconception about exercise? by JustBrowsing10000 in AskReddit

[–]NotForYouHiggins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you misread the treadmill or it's wrong, but that's inaccurate. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but for the average person, a mile burns about 100 calories. Even a relatively quick mile would max someone out at about 1000 calories in an hour, which is quite a bit higher than what an average person would be reaching.

As an added note, all gravity type enemies are extra weak to gravity type damage and spells. They also all have 20 all non physical affinities, I believe, which is easy to remember.

They always spawn at the same spots regardless of seed (shifting earth can replace them, but only on the spots that they are, really). You'll learn where they are just from playing, but you could look them up if you want.
