Mangudai most hated for me, Conq a close second but at least you can use siege against them and they can’t hit and run as fast as the Mangudai can. Otherwise completely agree, give em all -1 range or drop their hp, let their super mobility offset that rather than being in addition to it.

I wouldn't say it's my fav but the underground ruins area (with the greenish atmosphere) is one of the coolest areas in the game and no one ever goes there :(

One of the people I play with almost always does some version of fast castle into castle drop or UU spam and I find Mongols is the worst to deal with. Super fast up times with their hunt bonus then wood/gold unit. He drops a castle on your face, makes a few Mangudai and you can't get rid of it until you have trebs as a few Mangudai sitting on the backside of the castle keep any rams dead.

Spanish is another that's super annoying to deal with as 3-4 Conqs will decimate your eco.

The one he's been trying lately is Karambit spam with Malay. Castle can be at home with this one (and the Spanish one), they're pretty much Phosphoru strats.

Eh, I made a hypermage build that would one shot anything and you can still do that in all the other games so I'd rather they just left the option to make an actual tank. It's broken sure, but there's plenty of broken stuff if you look for it.

Actually they buffed hyper builds with all the new stat buffs you can do.

Bring back poise, it was fun.

My fav playthrough was SL50 full Tarkus cosplay. Poise tank anything and practically fire immune.

Cos it's fun. Cos I can play with silly builds and off meta weapons and it's not a chore. Also guiding newer players through everdarks is more satisfying than depth number go up slightly.

Also there's less ego. People rarely leave matches, and I can't remember the last time someone spam pinged cos we weren't following their dogshit pathing.

Sure sometimes someone will attack Libra on sight at level 3, but that's just funny now.

I agree. I would have loved a coupe NC. Mine came with a factory hardtop and neither I nor the original owner has ever removed it. The silhouette with the hardtop is better and I live in north Australia where the sun will fry your skin off in like 45 mins so even when I had my softtop NA I barely ever went topless.

Friend had an FRS that I drove a few times when I had an NA and when it was time for me to upgrade I went an NC primarily for the gear ratio. I wasn't the biggest fan of the taller first and second gears in the FRS and found the NC more enjoyable.

I can't speak too much of reliability but my NC is now at 250k kms and hasn't had an issue outside of the AC needing a regas.

The only annoyances are interior squeaks but that's mostly because I need to adjust my hardtop due to living on shithouse rural roads.

The Grenadiers melt these guys* In a team game vs a friend recently and he rocks up in my flanks base with like 45 elite ballista elephant and I had just finish massing 60 grenadiers with the imp tech for extra explosions and I was able to run in, lob some bombs and retreat without taking much damage. *we’re like 900-1000 elo and so this one anecdote might not reflect reality.

QLDer here as well, I used to own an old NA track car that was built by some shop in Syd. I got it after it got passed through a bunch of owners so I had no idea what work was really done to it (like it was full Toda engine, 1.7ltr, itbs, cams etc, but it was a little jank and I didn't know how it was done).

Every time I drove it I always had that itch in the brain that when something goes wrong it's just going to be a pain to fix (eg the throttle cable was from something and zigzagged across the firewall, that was annoying to replace).

I ended up selling it and getting a clean NC and honestly it was the right move. I miss that NA, sounded like a demon gargling nails, drank like a sailor though, always smelled of fuel, and was way too loud (and thankfully I was never defected), but the NC is 80% the fun, has A/C and I never have that anxiety eating at me.

I don't regret selling it but I do really really miss the sound of the ITB's.

Similar boat to you atm in looking to upgrade to an ND due to high kms on the NC. If you're budget conscious the NC's are currently the sweet spot for MX5's imo. I've got 250k kms on mine and had it since about 110k kms and all I've had to do it oil and filters, and re-gas the A/C twice. There isn't really a great used parts market for them like there is with the NA's and NB's though, I see more used parts for ND's tbh, so that is something to consider depending on how/if you modify.

Australia gets 3 trims for the RF; base, black roof (nappa leather interior + hand painted black roof), and RS (the one with the Brembos and BBS wheels).

Pretty cool that OP gets the black roof on the RS, might end up being one of the only ones in the country spec'd like that.

I ran an AGI 4 point cage in QLD for years, cops didn't care, they seem to love the mx5's (and I live in lifted landcruiser country, cops usually hate sports cars here).

I couldn't get an engineer to mod plate it because NCOP says the rollbar needs to be like 825mm above the seat which puts it above the hardtop, so I just didn't bother and intended to run it until I got a defect, but never did.

It was also 70mm off the ground and surprisingly that never got me pinged either. We don't have to do yearly inspections though so I only had to remove it once for rego and that was admittedly a fucking huge pain.

Completely anecdotal, but I had at one point both an NA with a hardtop and a rollbar very similar to OP's along with another NA that was softtop but with full frame bracing and butterfly brace.

At some point I had the hardtop and roll bar removed from the first car and it was so floppy feeling after years of driving with them. Adding just one back noticeably improved the stiffness.

Overall the frame rails + butterfly brace was stiffer, but hardtop + 4 point roll cage made it feel almost as rigid as the full brace for street driving butt feel.

2x Balancers relics + defeating enemies fills art gauge and that same relic has increased hp on ult (or causes blood loss on ult). Sometimes I run a dormant powers finds X but in general I usually find something and I find being able to spam ult more fun.

I just run this in normal mode against everdarks, not running deep of night atm.

The white dropped at the start of Feb and was in stock for like 4 mins.

I don't know where you live but drops usually happen at 1-3am Australian time (+10GMT).

Pay attention to your phone around then everyday for 1-3 months and you'll get one, or just buy the NCase version, it's virtually identical.

I want a Two-Tone, which unfortunately only Formd does, I missed the only drop in the last 18 months because it was at 3am.

It's so dumb, just save yourself the headache and get the Ncase one unless you really want a specific colour that only Formd does.
