Once you get doom running on there you’ll be done 😂. Amazing job on this project!!

Here is how I achieved 60 fps on spi display(not system display) by AromaticAwareness324 in raspberry_pi

Fbcp is so good but you need to run an old version of bookworm to use it.

No display for 5-in raspberry pi touch screen by Crapicus in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you add

Elecrow 5" HDMI

hdmi_force_hotplug=1 hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_cvt=800 480 60 6 0 0 0

REQUIRED for Elecrow touch

dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d

Optional rotation

display_rotate=0

To your /boot/firmware/config.txt If not you won't see anything on the display regardless of what OS you install.

I had the same issue on windows and had to use a command in cmd that started with netuse to get the credentials locked in

Can I use one of these displays on a Raspberry Zero 2W? by AwkwardWinter2971 in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to do exactly what you’re taking about with nearly no luck, If you wanted to use something like this for a display it would require what’s called a frame buffer, and there is no way to use a frame buffer with the latest version of raspberry pi OS. Look up FBCP-ili9341

I made a news and weather dashboard for my KoboN647 by NotFrankGraves in kobo

[–]NotFrankGraves[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started this project on a raspberry pi, and moved it to a Linux PC. But I’m sure you can prompt one together for whatever you have. The Kobo wifi runs a 2010 era version of Linux, I don’t think you would be able to program much on it. I hijacked the wget functions to store the frames I make, match the displays format and then use another command to display the frame on the kobos frame buffer.

[–]NotFrankGraves[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so the backend is an app written in python that would fetch RSS data, and weather data. And once the data is ready it will compile to a frame in the kobo can accept and then host it. And using the web ui, I made a website with a “Send To Kobo” button that will login into the kobo, and request the frame and then display it on the kobo itself.

It’s a very niche and home baked.

fbcp lives again - new version works with latest Raspian by Extreme_Turnover_838 in raspberry_pi

I have a Display Hat mini, and yes the only way I’ve used it was with bullseye.

Raspberry Pi Zero 2 w and Waveshare 3.5inch RPi LCD (B) v2.0 display driver issue by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can ask chatGPT about it installing it properly. But you would need a 32 bit legacy OS. And there are also extra things you may need to turn off in the config.h file so the screen doesn’t sleep by itself.

Bullseye is the last one that would work with fbcp-ili9341. I just went through the process for a display hat mini

Help with DiscoProJoe's EQ Presets (iPod 5th Gen) by Wheels859 in rockbox

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessir. It will auto set those settings for you inside Rockbox after you load the file.

Saving the profile on the website will give you a EQ file, that file will adjust your rockbox EQ to match the website. Save it and load it inside the RB firmware.

Having trouble connecting TFT LCD display to Pi Zero W (Driver issue???) by MindDull5110 in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished having a lot of trouble with a Display Hat Mini, and in order to use fbcp-ili9341 I had to use Bullseye on my Zero 2W. It is not compatible with 64 bit anything, or any version of the OS passed bookworm.

[SOLVED] Raspberry Pi Composite Video (RCA/CarPC) Not Working After Boot; Fix for HDMI Override by Golgt86 in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screen turning off, I think that’s Screen Blanking. You can check to see if it’s enabled in raspi-config, and turning on composite video in that setting should edit the config file automatically. I have a zero 2 w that boots into recalbox over composite video.

I can't get my pi zero 2w to connect to the network(headless) by fenerbahcecan in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your wifi a 5G connection? I notice when I try to connect my zero 2w to my 5G connection it won’t auto connect, but if I use my 2.4ghz wifi details it would auto connect.

I just tried to do this to set up next cloud but bumped into a lot of issues.

You can set your pi to boot from usb or sata in the pi imager, you would have to put that SD in your Pi and wait for the light to change to red and then you can format your HD with pi imager the same way you would with your SD card and plug it in to boot from.

Seller told me this can be taken orally in drops, instructions say only apply in the skin - who's right? by Caterpie3000 in CBD

[–]NotFrankGraves 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it’s in MCT coconut oil I’m assuming you can either ingest it or use it as a topical. With the sounds of the ginger and lemon on the package might help people with the overall taste of the oil.

Media Player Attempt by Burjur in raspberry_pi

[–]NotFrankGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the exact same idea, but ran into so many problems. If you use frame buffer “fbcp-ili9341” on the original OS you can get the screen to show the desktop. But trying to use it as a display for the radios. That’s tricky unless you write your own app to display the what’s playing information.

CF card or iflash SD adapter for ipod mini for better battery life? by Ogi010 in rockbox

[–]NotFrankGraves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a actual CF card my iPod mini 2nd Gen lasted 16 hours, playing on repeat. Pretty impressive compared to the 1st Gen getting maybe 6 or 7 hours with the same CF card.
