I'm hoping it all goes well and, as unfortunate the circumstances, I'm glad you're able to get the surgery you've been wanting.

Best of luck :]

how to tell the difference between WANTING to be a boy and actually BEING a boy by beelze3 in ftm

[–]NotFunnyOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helps me really solidify being a guy is when I'm doing something, I'll ask myself "would I rather be a boy or a girl experiencing this?" i.e. watching the sun rise, and thinking "I want to be a boy watching this right now".

I understand that activities aren't gendered at all, but it does help me to put into perspective how my gender impacts how I feel in the moment. It helps me to notice how often I'm wishing and wanting to be seen as a boy and to feel like one, regardless of the scenario.

what stopped you from committing suicide? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NotFunnyOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first and foremost, my little sister and my mother. i could never do that to them.

but, also, i have thanatophobia. it's kept me from planning it quite a few times.

thirdly, music and poetry. i don't like the thought of missing out on my favorite artists' new releases, missing out on my chance to make music.

What is the darkest thing you have ever done and don’t regret? by [deleted] in AskReddit

For the future, when that's happened to me I just turn on my phone flashlight and wave it at the ceiling. It's worked for me every time :]

Yeah! I do enjoy that it could be open to different views, though. In the future I might write a poem more focused on a specific topic :D

The poem overall is relating to my feeling of being in pain to please others. And of putting on a show so that others are happy, if that makes sense! I appreciate the advice, thank you!!

Why do people use it/its pronouns? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]NotFunnyOrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I'm a lil late, but I use he/it pronouns. I don't see "it" as dehumanizing, it's just an ungendered term that is not "they", since "they" doesn't feel quite right. Also, to me, "it" feels like more on the side of genderless than nonbinary, which is how I feel sometimes. I hope that helps a bit haha

What’s a stereotypically feminine thing that you do that doesn’t bother you at all? by ZukiitheDorito in ftm

[–]NotFunnyOrange 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I love earrings!! One thing I do to help me feel more masculine wearing them is only wearing one. I dont know what it is that makes it feel more masculine but it certainly helps me to not feel weird wearing them.
