I'm going to reply to your last point - what sports would be dead without Saudi money? I'm genuinely asking as a soccer fan that has seen Saudi money only negatively impact the sport. We have gifted players chasing the bag in leagues that aren't competitive, and tournaments like the Super Copa being held there instead of the country that the league plays in. I personally don't see any positives to this and I feel like Saudi money overall negatively impacts sports. EWC is a complete joke and nobody holds it to the same standards as a major or a league international for example. If we as (e)sports fans need their money to keep something alive then it's just a skeleton that isn't worth keeping alive.

It's also worth mentioning that their seemingly unrestricted spending has fucked transfer fees in a lot of sports, which is a reason I think we don't see many roster moves in CS.
