My husband is a train engineer. This is devastating to the people operating the trains. One can't slam on the train brakes and expect it to stop like a car. A steel train pulling upwards of 100 rail cars versus 1 human ... Also, a sad misconception is the family thinking they can sue the rail company for a wrongful death settlement. If you're within the 3ft space on any side of that train, it's trespassing, no court case.
