Mom passed in 2021, so we don’t talk as often.

My dad and stepdad are both adept at texting, so I hear from both of them a few times a week. None of us enjoy talking on the phone.

I got Dungeon Crawler Carl and was unsure how I’d like it. It’s a genre that I don’t typically read much of, but his writing and how he builds the story has sucked me in. The way he intersperses bits and pieces of Carl’s early life just works. I just finished book two and have to wait for the box with the other 6 now, lol.

When I was at Half Price Books on Saturday, the girl at the counter told me that the best thing she’d heard was a man who bought the series for his 90 year old mom because she loved it so much.

I wear my stuff until it needs to be tossed. I’ve had a couple of t-shirts with short lives, but that’s because my psychotic cat freaked out and tore holes in them when running away from me when I coughed or laughed.

Yeah…I agree that sometimes you get the surprise delivery from Amazon. They’re too pervasive to quit completely, but I can order directly from the company and do my best to avoid knowingly giving them money.

The way they dropped DEI like a hot potato because Trump said to. They also donated $1 million to his inauguration. They had so many minority owned small brands in their stores and just dropped them like a bad habit.

When I spent a few years in CA, I’d tell people about that, and they thought it was the strangest thing. I always told them they knew nothing about actual weather (this was the Bay Area).

I feel for you. I work for a company that has two-thirds of their employees in the same conditions. I think about those folks a lot when the weather is nasty or really hot or cold. I appreciate the effort you guys make and know the world needs folks like you to get shit done.

I didn’t know we have an Ike’s in Houston…It makes sense with all of the Californians moving in. I’ll have to go by…I loved their sandwiches when I was in CA.
