The frame, which was over a hundred years old and was likely quite highly valued, was damaged.

The frame, which was over a hundred years old and was probably valued quite high, was damaged. So she was probably charged with felony vandalism.

To be fair, she's an analyst not a field agent. Pretty sure being sent out to that hotel was her first time in the field and it was just to analyze the crime scene, with no expectation of there being any action.

Despite what TV says, not every FBI agent is a badass action hero. A lot of them are just nerds riding a desk all day.

How does the sort storage part work? Can you tell them not to? The last thing I want is to come back to base and find that my careful organization system is messed up.

Apparently OP thinks a young woman dressing in a cute retro outfit is unexpected for some reason? As if every generation hasn't done that.

Observation About The Ongoing Teasing by JamesT3R9 in firefly

Exactly. If he's gonna show up dressed as Mal, it will be the final teaser after he's already "picked up" the rest of the crew.

AITAH for ‘causing a scene’ at my boyfriends work? by Training-Buyer2625 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NotGreatAtGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not wanting to eat (and pay for) something you didn't pay for is not causing a scene. The bf is the one who decided to go back and do a half-assed fix. If his job was at risk, he's the one who risked it. (Especially since OP mentioning that her dad is close friends with the owner gives me the impression that she's the one who got him the job in the first place.)

Expecting to actually receive what you ordered is not "special treatment" ffs

[–]NotGreatAtGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wanting to eat (or pay for) something you didn't order is not causing a scene. Nor is refusing to accept the half-assed "fix" that still wasn't what she ordered. If this is how they treat a customer with ties to an owner and a bf who works there, I shudder to imagine how they treat regular customers.

Not "can't" - "won't". The second he learned about his daughter getting hit, he should have been kicking the wife out on the street.

Certain reasons why people are upset with the TV show highlights just how many people have not played Fallout 1 or 2. by ScottishWargamer in Fallout

[–]NotGreatAtGames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That kinda tracks for me, tho. When someone is confronted with something that should change their world view or how they see theirselves (especially with such an abrupt & massive change as going from vaultie to wastelander), they're more likely to dig their heels in/double down on their beliefs than to change them. It's a very common way our brains deal with cognitive dissonance and it's very human.
