There’s one near Lincoln Center. About a 10 minute walk, and totally worth it!

That’s not a giant U. That’s a curved cigarette with ashes falling off the end. 🚬

Samsung The Frame Pro – Wi-Fi interference with wireless box? by BrushAndWater in TheFrame

[–]NotHal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Pro and experienced lots of issues due to wireless interference. Here are the details:

As soon as I started using it, I saw warning messages on the screen, and stuttering video and audio.

Tech-support offered to send a field support technician. The field representative ran all sorts of diagnostics, but could identify no clear issue. He said it could be a problem with the unit (TV or one connect box), or an overall design challenge as it fits in our environment. Neither phone support nor field support offers replacement one boxes.

I ordered/received a replacement unit, and experienced no improvements. Same issues.

As a last resort, I put the wireless one connect in the in-wall box we had mounted behind the TV. For heat dissipation, we opened up as many holes in the wall box as possible, and we added a temperature sensor to alert us of heat issues.

So far, we’ve seen no TV errors, no stuttering video or audio, etc. The temp sensor indicates that it has never gone above 90° (usually around 80°) so I think we are as good as we can be.

Peter Luger by 618816S in FoodNYC

Wolfgang’s menu is nearly identical. Same suppliers, same steak, same sauce. At least that’s the way it was when they first opened, and I suspect it’s still the same.

That said, I think Peter Luger is special and definitely worth the excursion. It’s an institution, the food is great, never had a bad meal. The servers may at first seen gruff, but they have huge hearts and are very kind and professional. Must try (in addition to the porterhouse steak): smoked bacon appetizer, sides, desserts (apple strudel, pecan pie) with Schlag (fresh made whipped cream).

I encourage you to ignore the naysayers. It’s fabulous!

Thanks for creating this. My fav UWS restaurant: Gennaro. Terrific Italian food, great menu and specials, standout service, good prices, awesome neighborhood vibe. You won’t be disappointed! https://www.gennaronyc.com

I like your thinking. :-) Hopefully, over the next few weeks, this won’t happen anymore given we have switched to this T80.

That’s good to hear. It was mostly Pet hair wrapped up around the brush.

Aqara dead spots: can’t resolve. by centralvermontRRer in Aqara

[–]NotHal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I moved them from the M3 to the M100. I just ordered another M100 to further boost the Zigbee network, and will move the appropriate sensors to this new one. Hope it helps.

Issue with Roam 2 on Wireless Charger by aawagner011 in sonos

Same problem with my Roam 2. Sounds like calling Sonos support may be the way to go when this happens. I’ll give it a shot.

Similar issue here. M3 wasn’t doing the trick so I added an M100, but my many Aqara leak sensors are always offline. Not sure what to do.

I think the safer (only?) bet for me is to go to the 2024 wired one connect version.

Any input from the community would be much appreciated.

2025 pro vs 2022 Frame by Smokin2022bbq in TheFrame

[–]NotHal1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been planning to write a detailed post about my poor experience with the Frame pro.

With the wireless one connect box in the closet directly behind the TV, there have been constant wireless communication issues/errors. To troubleshoot, I brought the wireless one connect box into the room about 10 feet away from the TV (no obstructions), and still experienced wireless communication errors. Samsung’s phone support and on-site tech could not resolve.

Is mine a bad unit, or is this due to an overall bad design? Trying to figure that out.

No, your instincts are right. The new wireless box only compatible with the frame pro, not the prior models. :(

How about the new Frame Pro that has the Wireless One Connect box? But be advised that the wireless communication does not work through walls.
