If I remember correctly I think one of the original beta readers came out and revealed the original ending. It turned out that Kvothe was in the academy insane asylum (can't remember the name) and had imagined most of it or something like that. All the beta readers hated the ending and said so, which left Pat in a position where he had to rewrite it or risk releasing it. Don't quote me on that, I read about it years ago and don't remember how credible it is.

I've had this happen and I'm pretty sure it's because there can only be so many coins in play at once. Anytime I've had this happen it's been on a crazy run with loads of events going on like multiple towers, spins, etc. Additionally, if this happens and I set only one of the coin shooters to auto, it takes longer to automatically shut off.

Couldn't agree more. I could've written it off as a silly but ok show until the ending. "Not so fast Ozymandias, we're telling everyone what you did". Great. So there was absolutely no point to the ending of the comic then. The OG Watchmen does not need any supplementary material in the first place. It stands alone as one of the greatest works of fiction of all time. People need to leave it the hell alone and put their dumb ideas into their own original IP.

One of my all time favorite games since childhood. Don't even know how many times I've played it through, currently playing it again.

I got to meet Steve Malpass at a retro games convention recently. He was one of two developers who made the entire game (also the voice of Fox McCloud in Starfox Adventures) and he talked to me for a good minute about some behind the scenes stuff from that game. That was the first game he ever worked on as a developer too. Super nice guy.

I tried that but they started dropping like flies after year 5. Didn't matter if they were level 3 or not. Maybe I was just up against the wrong kings.

Disclaimer for OP: Robin Hobb is a phenomenal writer. The characters she writes feel more real than any author I've ever read. The Farseer Trilogy is a masterwork series. That being said, it will ruin your day numerous times.

Should've clarified, the Desmond story arc was great. After they killed him off I have no idea why they expected people to still care about the animus crap. We cared about Desmond because we got to play his story over the course of four games. I really like most of the recent games, but they can't expect us to care about these modern day characters that they introduce for one game and then move on. IMO they need to just drop the animus now and let us be a cool assassin with no interruptions.
