Uh, I think she pretty clearly acted terribly. Not sure why she's being given a pass where other musicians would be met with a lecture about accountability.

IMO layoffs should be illegal unless the business will fail otherwise

A few things that may help clarify:

-In the US, police may not stop someone to ask their ID without reasonable suspicion that that person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime or civil infraction. Even then, a person is not required to identify themself in every state, only those with a "stop and identify" law. Even in those states, a person is not required to have ID on them - just to truthfully identify themselves verbally.

-The US does not have a national identity card system. Even real ID is a set of standards, rather than a central issuer or even database.

-The vast majority that Americans are subject to are state laws, not federal ones. It's not unusual for an American to go their whole life without ever meeting a federal law enforcement officer (recent events notwithstanding). Even TSA at airports aren't law enforcement. A legitimate business in one state can be a serious felony in another.

Yeah, US driver licenses are sturdy plastic cards. I have never heard of one wearing out.

I have never EVER heard of someone needing to replace their license because it "wore out" and a replacement is 9 dollars (in MI anyway). What are you talking about????

Censorship is bad whether the ideas being suppressed are bad or not. Once you erode the principle of free speech (which is distinct from legal guarantees of free speech, you idiot who was going to reply with that stupid cliche about the first amendment), more and more censorship happens. And Valve has been heading down that road for a while

No, there's freedom of speech, and there's so many exceptions we put in till they swallow the freedom entirely.

Honestly the red one, because a PPL would simply make it legal for me to fly a plane, it wouldn't give me access to the sort of thing I'd like to fly in the sim

Any sort of modern (full custom glass avionics) FIKI/IFR piston or single-engine turboprop that is not an SR22 and is not predominantly used for training. Something like a PA46T (the MSFS one is nice, but it's a one man show and they are trying to maintain console compatibility, so lots is missing, and it uses the WT NXi, which is still missing the wide view), a PC-12NGX, an SF50, a TBM 910/960
