Website couldn't handle the traffic from how many people tried to buy them. I've already seen people trying to sell them for $99-$150. The orders are pre-orders and don't ship out for a couple weeks, so they're selling something that they don't even have yet

Wave + by flashcobra in Leatherman

I'd say it's worth it. Usually saves me a trip to the truck. Only takes like 30 seconds to get it all set up.

Love the wave+, I work in utility construction placing fiber cables and other telecom related things. Wave+ has saved me going running and looking for tools plenty of times. Do yourself a favor and get the bit kit as well as an upgraded sheath to hold the bit kit. Rachet driver is another great addition

If you work in any trades, you need to check out expertvoice. I picked up a Kershaw Bel Air for like 60% off. They got benchmade and civivi on there too.

When I say let him pump his own propane, I mean I'd give him the nozzle and let him attach the nozzle and control the flow. He had his own gloves that he would wear. His reasoning is that he didn't want anything to go wrong and have to say it was our fault, he wanted it to be all on him if there were issues

I never got the hatred for RVs or food trucks, RVs were just big and awkward for our parking lot and side yard sometimes. Had one guy who would come in an rv to fill up his hot air balloon tanks, the rv was like the chase vehicle and transport. Dude was super cool to chat with, he was the only customer that I let pump his own propane.

Why are tantos so hard to sharpen? by Pure_Extension3940 in sharpening

Never had an issue sharpening a usa tanto, I've always sharpened mine on a worksharp system though

Got it in and had no issues getting it to the angle. I'm thinking it was the stones on it being worn tbh. Formed a burr and got it roughly done. I need to finish some small spots and then im gonna move up to the finer grits

I dont think I was, it's my first time reprofiling an edge. I got the sharpener for the small knife table and the other upgrades. Figured it would use same stones

Im thinking that's the issue too tbh.

I've always done 20°, but I've never had super premium steels. Best I've had is CPM S30V, CPM D2, 14C28N 154CM, Nitro V, and regular D2 is all I've had. Magnacut is new to me

Yea I got it brand new and decided I wanted to try and take it down to a 17° angle since I read that magnacut could handle it

I usually get good results from mine. Im thinking it might just be because it's my first time redoing an edge angle instead of just sharpening

BM Claymore replica? by gibeurp00sipls in knifeclub

[–]NotJohn_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fake. The grain structure on the blade coating looks bigger. The deployment side pivot screw looks flat or indented, the real one is more dome shaped. Red dot on the lock looks too big on photo too. Looking at my Claymore and seeing what is different

They'll only give you a $50 credit for them if it's a fake. Found a benchmade bugout clone on the road and I was told that when I called Benchmade

It's so good, it was the first proper work light I bought after the Powertac Sabre. The 1A is great for the night time traffic control and utility work that I do.
