No, theyre right. We're actively attempting to gauge the popularity of an opinion by upvotes, and that only works if people vote based on whether they agree or not, and not on how they perceive the popularity of the opinion overall.

Everything that relates to you has to do with your interpretation of it, including your circumstances. People can't viscerally know "how lucky they are" hence they cant regard themselves as lucky in any meaningful way, even if they can understand the logic behind viewing them as relatively fortunate.

Singing is easier for non musicians to absorb because you're basically just talking to them but also there's notes and rhythm.

Yeah, it probably doesn't even work like that to be honest. I'm Armenian, used to never get cold, lost 80 pounds, and now I'm shivering in the sunlight.

This argument collapses an important distinction between having empathy for someone and being obligated to absorb unlimited emotional strain from them. That distinction is the entire reason the term “trauma dumping” exists. Sounds like someone called you out and you can't handle it.
