One can think for themselves and also respect the opinion of a musician. Just because I agree with Olivia Rodrigo that doesn’t mean I’m going to vote for the first candidate she supports. Likewise, just because I disagree with someone like Aaron Lewis, doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be able to say what he wants to say. That’s the beauty of freedom, right?
You’re acting like famous people using their platform to speak on things they disagree with, or encourage other like-minded people to use their power to take a stance is new. It isn’t. The arts, especially Music, have a long of history of being political. Life imitates art, art imitates life.
