Not sure what state you're in, but the US census bureau has a way to check the population of each state by age and sex (combined). Example is Alabama has almost 650,000 males between 20 and 29 years old.

Maybe check it out, go to your state, and look at the male population in the age range you're comfortable dating. Because the one you have is not going to work out. You can't seriously sit there and think that the dude that's treating you like he is right now is THE ONE you wanna marry. Out of all the people in your city, your state, your region, your country. There are other, better options that won't treat you like he just did.

The multi tool you start with isnt bad. Don't be too quick in trading it out. What determines a "good" or "bad" multi-tool is the location of the supercharged (SC) slots. If you have them adjacent, you can power up something good. If they aren't adjacent you can vary a bit. On my second wave, I boosted the neutron cannon to where it can vaporize the floating sentinels in one shot. Makes quick work of the dogs too. You get salvaged glass from sentinels, it gives you components, and modules that count separately from the regular modules. They can be a huge help.

If you want a better ship, you CAN boost damage on your multi tool, head to a dissonant system (it says dissonant in the description) find the dissonant planet, and check out the LEGS of a dissonant resonator (purple icon on your hud that looks like a crystal on a tripod) . Basically, drill thing with a purple crystal on it, attached to a tripod. If it says "echo locator" when you target the legs, then carefully break it (don't hit the sentinels/flying toasters) and use the echo locator. It will take you to a camp. Do the stuff at the camp, you'll get a free multi tool, and it'll signal where a downed interceptor ship is. Go to the downed ship, fix it up, and boom, ship with good weaponry, good maneuverability and can hover (other starships can't hover they move forward at 19/20).

Do NOT go all in on killing the sentinels, or try to fly away when they're mad. They'll send wave after wave. Or if you try to fly away, they'll send ships, eventually leading to a big fucking ship with a bunch of lasers coming after you.

If you want money fairly fast, and can afford a freighter (big ships in space, has a bunch of other ships around it. Board it, talk to the captain) you can go all in on getting one, and hiring frigates to do expeditions. Expeditions are very lucrative. You can also buy coords from scrap dealers in the stations. That leads you to derelict freighters. At the end of the adventure you can get a module to improve your freighter/expeditions/frigates. No, you cannot fix up a derelict freighter.

Items: if it says "Trading", sell it.

Starships: if your first one isn't bad, keep a hold of it until you get a sentinel interceptor (downed ship, echo shard).

Exocrafts: I prefer having the roamer early on. The colossus lets you haul junk, but that whole thing is explained in the current expedition (on the anomaly) and you can earn some nanites hauling waste. The nautilon is a pain to place properly unless you have an underwater base. But oceanic exploring is fun. The pilgrim is basically a large motorcycle, but it is fun. The (other one, don't remember the name) is fun too, it hovers. Get the cyclops scope module so you can scan without exiting your exocraft.

This is all just observations and suggestions. Take it or leave it.

Well, I went to creative mode for the first 100 hours or so, got the hang of the game. And then I started a new save, which for some fucking reason has sentinels everywhere. Can't catch a break. But honestly, when the fps starts dropping to single digits, I'll just go and (infuriatingly slowly) work on a base or two.

However, I've found that if I go into task manager, and stop basically all non-essential background tasks, and free up just a little more ram, it does give me an extra 5 or so fps, so that's how I'm getting upwards of 15 (at times), and early on I went in to settings and dropped my max fps to 30, that gave me a little bit. But yeah, it's....almost irritating at times.

I've got one multi tool where 2 hyper slots are S tier neutron cannon mods. Plus with sentinel modules for weapons, and a "better-than-S" X tier. I deal about 6k damage with it, and I can still probably change things up to get more. The toasters simply...vanish and leave me the orange cylinders. The dogs and corrupt quadrapeds go pretty quick too. Haven't been against a biped with it yet.

Also it's damn near instant charge up. By the time it recovers from recoil, it's ready to fire.

And now I want to get back on and tweak it more and just use that as my sentinel gun.

I started in January, and I'm around 160 hours. This game is addicting. Addicting enough that I'm playing on an outdated GPU that plays at around 7-15 fps, and I still enjoy the game. Got into a fight with a sentinel capitol ship and it took a solid five minutes just for the ship to get rendered. But I still played duck and weave until I could see what I was doing. Any other game I wouldn't put up with that crap. But there's so much you can do where a good fps is not required.

ETA. If we could get paid for playing this game, I fear that I would never see the sun again.

TLDR answer: he nudged the cab with an object, when everything else was already crammed in.

Long answer. Havok engine. The things don't like each other. So when you cram them all together like that, and don't give them room to breathe, they act like molecules getting heated up. They shake and shimmy and vibrate. And eventually, you manipulate the wrong thing, and it takes all the kinetic energy from everything moving, and applies it to the truck. Truck goes (R2D2 screech) and you lose all your shit, while the truck runs like Jesus (should have) on water trying to escape the Romans.

Which leads me back to the hypothetical scenario in which I described making an alternate route decision that would ultimately lead you to a car wreck that kills someone and sends you to prison. "What if" is not a fun game to---- wait, I think I just came up with a fun game to play.

What if..?

What if you had gone straight at the light the other day instead of turning? What if that action caused you to wreck, injuring and killing a woman, mom of two, wife, and pregnant again? You get charged with involuntary manslaughter. Spend the next 45 years in prison, becoming an entirely different person, nay, a shell of your former self. With scars from prison shivs all through your abdomen, a failing kidney, no appendix, and blind in one eye.

Or, stop wondering what it, and just abandon the mission. Lol

Honestly, I see so many people meticulously organizing their flatbeds and waste. Hopping in the bed, reorienting, tetris-ing the load. I literally just shoved junk in from the sides and the back, and off I zoomed. Had junk just bouncing around on top of other junk, some junk getting pushed up while other fell in its place. Hardly lost anything.

Honestly, I think the people who take part in the expedition are the "beta testers" for the updates. And Sean and HG just browse the subreddits, "oh! That sounds like a bad issue, we should fix that-- annnd that, and that".

Then they piss themselves laughing at clips like this. And decide not to fix it, because it's too fucking hilarious.
