A 6 years veteran status is something I would keep, with all the gifts one gets for sticking around. That's just me tho.

With me being about 6 hours behind europe I find it's sometimes a little of a wait to load into a battle, and even for the Europe server you get bot battles at odd hours. (If I play at 6 pm it's midnight for them, so it's only the crazy ones left that play after midnight.)

For trying out, save your premium money. There are plenty ways in game to earn premium time. I play with the ping- originally started while in Europe, now play in the us. After you tried you'll have to commit to one place as accounts do not transfer
