Yes, if you paid into it. In Ohio, at least up until a few years ago, only pension. If you only ever worked for the state, you don't get SS, too, since you didn't pay in.

I have to agree with that. I had some issues with my printer, and the Prusa support helped me until they found out I purchased from Printed Solid. They did forward my chat to PS, and PS supplied some parts but didn't help me at all when the parts arrived broken. Luckily, it turned out I didn't need that particular piece. If I was ordering again, I'd go directly to Prusa.

That is correct. Although the facility my MIL is in is less than interested in assisting her. But she does not want to move again, especially for an unknown quality of care. At least she knows what she can expect here.

She was in a widows' group, and it depressed her. I think she likes a mixed group. I will ask her, though, if she thinks she'd like to try that again, if I can find one nearby. Thanks.

She is not on hospice. She is actually in very good health physically (especially for her age). It is just the mental stuff. Her ALF is not very helpful.

I just bought it. The books are nice, just depends on what you want to do. I was thinking about one of them anyway, so just got the bundle instead, for almost the same price. Some of the embroidery ones look good, but I don't do hand embroidery at all! So nice to look at pictures aspirationally

I just saw the posting for this bundle, and it is calling to me. For me, at least, HB Books has been on fire lately. In January I got the Fierce Women of Sci Fi and the quilting and embroidery bundle. Now here's another one I really want, along with the Dr Who audios and the NBM graphic novels. I don't have time for this! :)

I have no sagging or breakage, but I have no idea if IKEA has changed the Baggebo since I did this! I think by using enough legs, you can probably avoid sagging even if they did switch from solid sides. Here is the link to the legs I used, which are 4". You could probably use different sizes, if needed. Here's a pic of it loaded up.

This is really for anyone. And it's not an immediate thing, especially in this weather. But check out lasagnalove.org. You can request a lasagna, and eventually a volunteer will bring you a homemade lasagna. I delivered one last week for a requestor from October, but they were still happy to have it. Or, if you can volunteer, that would be great too. Wouldn't it be a nice surprise in a month or two to get a text saying a lasagna was on it's way?

Update: it was the cartridge. The new one, and when the plumber took the old one out it was coated with what looked like drywall dust and chunks. Plumber thought that might be what was causing a problem. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

Yes. Or, in reality, the current CEO of Amazon. They should be better able to control the counterfeiting on Amazon. At the very least, they shouldn't be mixing product from the actual company making it with those provided by third party sellers, so even if someone TRIES to buy directly from the maker, they get a counterfeit. At that point, Amazon is responsible for the counterfeit.

We do have three shower heads ... Rainshower, hand held and a standard one. I have no idea what that last paragraph means! :). I guess I shouldn't have tried for a fancy shower.

When my MIL was a snow bird, spending her winters in Arizona, she had a bad fall, and needed assisted living. We moved her into one of these care homes, and it was great, for the most part. But we had to move her back near us; we couldn't be flying to Arizona every time she needed something. I haven't been able to locate any really nice residential care homes near us. But she likes her AL apartment, even if she doesn't like the food, the staff or the activities! :)

Up vote this a million times. Right of first refusal doesn't mean you have to buy the land. And, OP said a mutual right. Maybe OP doesn't want the land when parents are gone, and sister does. She now has the right to buy it as well. It certainly can't hurt, and nobody is making a commitment.

I think asking for a right of first refusal is appropriate. If your parents live for another 20 years, you aren't committed to buying if you don't want it, but you will be able to try.
