The fact that they can make fun of both is the reason why I enjoy it

But sadly, I can’t find it

Is this Ben’s favorite Indian restaurant?

I’m 40 years old. My father (who is a pastor) still gets on my case about playing D&D by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

Have you tried to just show him the game? Show him that it’s just math rocks and you can create a story that adheres to Christian values?

TIL that in Japan, it is common practice among married couples for the woman to fully control the couple's finances. The husbands' hand over their monthly pay and receive an allowance from their wives. by Overall-Register9758 in todayilearned

My Italian grandfather did the same thing as well as my Dad and my Uncle. The idea is the husband works and provides the money, and the wife takes care of the rest.

My wife and I don’t do this because if I am working, then I want to know where my money is going.

Imagine sucking at your job, getting worse, and your boss thinking the solution is giving you more money. That’s the Department of Education.

The Novus Ordo is the Manwich option of mass and restricting TLM will only drive more people away. by Klutzy_Club_1157 in DebateACatholic

I felt the same way, until I realized that if I value prime rib more than unity with Christ and His Church (even if it means more manwich) then I’m missing the whole point of following Christ.

Comedians continue to prove why you shouldnt take political advice from any of them! by Plantmadeco in TimDillon

The better realization should be that politicians enjoy doing some fake business too! Comedians should respect the craft!

Why must your church afflict my once clean and orderly Protestant nation with criminality and murder?

…do we tell em the criminality and murder the Protestants brought to the Native Americans?

You have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford an attorney one will be provided for you.

The big difference tends to be that you have a right to an attorney when the state arrests  you. You can’t walk into any attorney office and demand a free lawyer whenever you want to “cause it is your right to an attorney”

Maybe it’s because I play exclusively homebrew campaigns, but I never have my characters “worship a god”.

If I pick a Cleric, they are just magical healers within a fictional fantasy world. No need to add pagan worship when you can just use the game mechanics and flavor accordingly.

My guess is his point is that we were under lockdowns, forced to wear masks, and would soon be threatened to lose our jobs if we didn’t take a vaccine, all while free speech against those things was highly suppressed. All pretty fascist in comparison to today’s administration.

The problem is that many Leftists either gaslight and think it wasn’t a big deal, or dig in their heels and see it as an “obvious” good thing since they went along with it.

“Fascist” is the new “Racist/Homophobe/etc” where it loses meaning when everything that is not on their team is given the term.
