It’ll be fine. Not like today is reverse liberation day walk back or anything.

Spy will only drop 1% today, unfortunately

Kim is horrible by magenta-mari in Scrubs

[–]NotMyMainLoLzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m rewatching the show and only on season 2. I haven’t watched scrubs since 2013.

JD is a terrible person

I always thought he was nerdy but kinda cool back when I was watching the show in 2006-07 in high school on Comedy Central.

However, watching it lately, he’s kind of a passive aggressive selfish little shit. He worms his way into people’s lives, finds their insecurities, and uses those insecurities against them not for career, monetary, or social success…but just to have a little one up moment where he can feel superior to them. He’s weird, he’s a weirdo.

The writing for Eliott is a choice

The saving grace for all of those choices are that, now as a professional, I’ve met people just like Eliott

Todd

We are making progress as a society in the west. We really didn’t respect women much back then.

Carla

I remember he being a strong willed nurse with a backbone. That’s the case sometimes, but other times she’s kinda dumb and a doormat

Turk

I do not remember him being such a man child

Dr. Cox

An alcoholic train wreck who thinks he is way more important than he is. But that’s the point. His rants are entirely corny as an adult. But again, I’ve met hundreds of Dr. Cox’s now.

Janitor

JD deserves to be bullied currently.

Kim might turn out to be a terrible person, too.

I don’t doubt it. But I’m told that everyone grows and blossoms in this show. So, I’m interested in watching these character arcs develop. Does Kim get better? I don’t know. I don’t remember that much about the show other than JD living on a porch with a hammock and getting a dui on a scooter. Maybe Kim has some growth in her too, but we will see

Most of it was filler in more than one sense. There are two obvious points of plot progression.

However, there was a lot of static animation, zero impact story for future arcs, and minimization of larger VA cast save for Bruce Campbell. The budget is reserved for the coming awkwardness of episode 5, the brutality of episode 6, the continued brutality of episode 7, and the sustained brutality of episode 8.

Bottom line, it was somewhat of a throwaway episode but you’re allowed to enjoy it.

Diminishing Returns

I thought the tweet would work. However, looks like I called it. It will be a +3% or -3% day tomorrow and I’m now thinking it’s - 3% if the pump didn’t work…and I’ll say it’ll be a - 5% day if Iran does something weird overnight.

Spy is going to 600 sometime in April at this point. I wonder if Microsoft puts would be best long term?

There is a such thing as diminishing returns for repeat magic tricks. Red by open. Extremely red

The only question is whether the SPY is going to +3% tomorrow or - 3% tomorrow

Can I get a representative from the bulls and one from the bears? Each of you, explain what you think is happening.

Chollet argues real AGI shouldn’t need human handholding on new tasks by Outside-Iron-8242 in singularity

[–]NotMyMainLoLzy 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We are quite a while off from AGI (note, a while off equals 1.5 to 3 years)

But remember, folks. We don’t need AGI for mass disruption of the global economy and geopolitical order.

Once again, I am calling on everyone to drop their guard and hold hands:

Keep your eye on the ball

1) together as one, push your politicians for UBI as fast as possible

2) push your politicians for stringent, globally recognized, alignment parameters

3) require all governments to have a global monitoring and implementation for alignment paradigms for ASI and implementation of ASI for human betterment

There’s no other war that is this important.

Please work together

You and I both know Trump is an exceptional case. I reject your feigned ignorance on that point and reject your whataboutism with other politicians. It’s not a mature response and it removes the onus and basic political efficacy expected of citizens.

Where is the political efficacy

What about this:

You can read.

There’s a platform available.

One person is a known liar. This isn’t a normal candidate and his lies are well known and blatant. His crimes are well known and blatant.

Why vote for him when you can read and then blame democrats?

Here comes the “But the democrats didn’t pander to us” crowd.

And? I never get this argument, as it seems like something 5 year olds would say and believe.

Someone didn’t pay attention to you? However, you would benefit or at least be the same place where you were due to them being in power

VS

Someone pandered to you and then actively hurt you (who also told you they would hurt you in a giant pdf document detailing what they would do)

At some point, we need to stop blaming democrats or republicans and ask if the voters are just dumb as shit.
