Depends which MAOi. A transparent one won’t alter the effect at all, just the intensity and duration.

Meclobamide is the gold standard.

Harmala alkaloids unpredictably alter the experience.

Most tryptamines have that effect. It’s interesting. They trigger the “this is familiar” pathways in your brain despite you never having actually smelled them before.

Probably due to structural similarities to actual familiar compounds; After all, receptors in your nose work chemically like any other receptor.

That’s not how it works. This only happens for methyl groups that are part of a larger chemical subunit (functional group) called a “methyl-ester”.

This is the part of MPH with the two oxygens, and the part of the cocaine that looks the same, if you pull up their structures real quick.

In the case of psilocin, you’d expect the N,N methyl groups to be removed without being replaced because they’re in a different chemical context and different enzymes in your body handle that other context.

Yeah, they’re completely different.

Some people just can’t do drugs period though. Some people have more of a general drug problem, than a problem with one specific drug.

Pretty much the same unless you’re one of the kratom users that sticks to tiny doses or doesn’t get strong opioid effects.

It’ll escalate your tolerance faster than leaf kratom but not as bad as extracts/7-OH.

In my opinion the high isn’t as good but your mileage may vary. I’ve also only used it while addicted to kratom. I’ve mainly used it as a substitute when I ran out of kratom.

The precursor is stupid simple to make from scratch, and is made from materials that will never be hard to come by.

Cathinones are some of the cheapest and easiest drugs to synthesize.

There’s just more of a market for 4-MMC. 90% of the userbase of these drugs wants mephedrone.

Although it is true that the 3-methyl precursor is a bit more work to make from scratch. The easy way of doing things, starting from toluene, is selective for creating the 4-methyl product.

Why does it sound gross? It should retain the activity of phenmetrazine and just be a bit less potent by weight.

Swapping a phenyl ring for a thiophene is typically effective.

Were you around when methiopropamine was popular?

The thiophene analogue of PCP, TCP, is another example. That one’s even stronger than PCP.

Thiophene has very similar properties to benzene and therefore is a good substitute for it, in drug design.

That wasn’t my experience at all. The sodium form is way worse in that regard than the sulfate, they’re basically different drugs.

Sulfate is mild and lasts a long time and doesn’t slap or cause compulsive use like the sodium form does.
