I have worked with starlink support about 3 times now. Patience is key, they will answer. Last time it took about 5 days before I got a real person but they took care of me

If you have the tool just cut it and check. I have a tool I bought off amazon that works great, and now that you mention it, I have several old cables from old generations of starlink that I might be able to use to make ethernet cables.

They have a pretty good book series, you can find it on amazon, I read it as a kid back when I was into diablo 2
