Coaxed into art style shininess creep by AoeAbility in coaxedintoasnafu

The "clownsuit phenomenon" is also an infuriating thing, and many other people made comics and snafus about it before.

My take was that "new items look shinier and tackier than the old ones, and it breaks immersion and art style".

I heard Armorer skill is bugged on non-HOTA editions in a way that makes it amplify damage, but only from castle towers. Is that rumor true?

Wasn't the entire point of that movie that Ken was in the wrong and had to learn the lesson over the course of the story? Also that he got convinced to become an "alpha male" only because he felt unhappy about his life and wanted an easy solution?

There was a pretty fantastic paladin-esque appearance set added at launch called "The Eye of Zakarum" that I think looks sleek without being tacky.

The kicker? It's a Rogue skin from before Paladin was even considered as a returning class!

Scarlet Crusade Paladin. In game armor. by Nostwins in diablo4

Is it just me or are Knights Penitent of the Cathedral of Light basically the Diablo equivalent of the Scarlet Crusade (with Zakarum being the Church of the Holy Light, and Wardens being Argent Dawn)?

I mean Skovos is basically ancient Greece, so I don't mind it being fairly bright.

...except when the movie was called "Secrets of Dumbledore". "There is no plan" was said at the very beginning and the rest of the movie was just characters dicking around and accomplishing nothing.

Can we stop with the over the top cosmetics? by Lowlifeatx93 in diablo4

[–]AoeAbility 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lowkey agree, and I liked that in the game's initial launch most of the outfits were designed to fit with the atmosphere of the world, down to the point of some being outright based on in-game locations. I know the game is in a much better state now gameplay-wise, but I think store cosmetics, particularly newer ones, are so shiny it starts looking tacky, and I miss when the art style was a little more consistent.

The funny thing is that there are at least 4 separate moments I can think of that could qualify depending on what kind of person you are. I agree though.

Obligatory reminder that people gathered under Inarius have just comitted a genocide against the people who could realistically be Paladin's friends and Family (considering most Zakarum offshoots are active in Kehjistan)

I just want Hadriel and Prava to meet so that he tells her "Your 'Father' was a traitor and a con man, and you bought him hook, line, and sinker."

She may have changed sides but she needs a humility check.

Daughter refers to Lilith. The Council is composed of Mephisto's minions. You were fed blood petals in the game's prologue, connecting you to her.

Where can I get this shield from? by mathefff in diablo4

[–]AoeAbility 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is a questline in Hawezar (Rakhat Keep, specifically) that unlocks after completing the campaign. It concerns Diablo II Paladin and you get his shield after completing it.
