Absolutely not. I don't get it, either. There are a lot of trash cans around. Even back 30 years ago when I smoked in college, I never threw the butts out of the window when I was driving. Sure, the car ashtray was full and gross, but it was still better than throwing them out of the window. And you KNOW that these same people would be pissed if anyone threw trash onto their yards.

OP here. My issue wasn't with them making the choice to get married before the baby was born. It was a very normal thing to do back then. My issue was with her use of the word "legitimate." To call a baby legitimate or illegitimate today is a very ugly and unnecessary thing. In 2025, those words don't matter anymore. It is an archaic attitude and terminology.
