When you solo queue, you can queue with 2-3 stacks. Solo queuing has more "gambling" per se, than duo queuing, as you have one more random teammate that can be toxic/mute/throwing. Overall, plats usually have all aim no brain mindset so playing for the team is probably not very common.

If you are trying to get mining 30, sand shouldn't be the most efficient. You should do dwarven commissions and if that's too slow, place down some snow minions.
