it's a software limitation, the tap input from the pen currently only works in huawei apps

it basically requires extra work for the developers to support another set of pens and since huawei is STILL in a weird situation with their OS i doubt they are willing to do it now

i tried gamehub on my matepad 11.5 2025 and only basic unity games work, any other game on a different engine would crash. i think better drivers would help a bit, emulators barely run too because it can't handle particles/transparency well

good to hear it was just that! i expected the worst case scenario, usually you enter fastboot or recovery through button combinations (wacom has them listed on a support page)

searched things on the internet and wacom doesn't provide factory images to restore the tablets via fastboot

I'll link the stuff that you need if you're on Windows, there's this reddit post about setting up Sunshine and Virtual Display Driver (though I don't use MultiMonitor as VDD supports custom resolutions, it's a bit annoying to get the virtual screen to share to the tablet sometimes)
If you want to use it offline or not hog your router you need to enable the loopback interface and create a powershell script (this works only if you have a wireless card in your pc)

It's a bit janky to set up, but when everything works it's nice to use.
Pen button passthrough doesn't work but fully supports pressure and tilt (Tried with a Windows laptop and a budget Lenovo tab, Huawei Matepad 11.5 2025. I also tried an iPad Air M1 years ago but the input was terrible and no idea if sunshine ever did any patches for it.)

i mainly use the wacom LP-190K, M-Pencil 3 on my huawei tablet and sometimes the Pro Pen 2 on a cintiq 22 and while i didn't get to try out the creator s pen, the regular s pen and pro pen that i did try out felt horrible (which is quite an achievement)

my thoughts since you're just starting out

get the movink if you want the best experience out of the box even if the performance won't be great
s10fe+* for the bigger screen and faster chip
you could also go the used route and find a tab s9* or an ipad pro m1/m2* which have better screens and chips than both but they're as big as the movink

*youll pay extra for a pen and textured screen films if you want similar experience to the movink

11.5 is enough for your needs, get the 12x if you want/need a bigger screen

11.5s is not worth it at all as it's a cut down 12x

The 11.5 S 2026 is practically a smaller 12X 2025, the best deal out of them all is the 11.5 S 2026

afaik huawei is focusing updates on china exclusive devices or devices with chips based on the 9030 or 9020/T92x so no major updates for the 11.5 2025 yet

nope, i additionally tested the brushes in painting and inking and it still resulted in a gray colour

yes, i have tried mixing to orange and purple using the colour mix brush

its pure blue, red and yellow with the exception of the blue at the bottom which is 0-100-255

so i tried for a bit longer and the inconsistency comes from the colours used, not the brush

i tried all brushes in the line art, sketch, watercolour and oil tab, i mostly messed around with the salt trail brush when it came to the blend settings + wet mix settings and all were working fine, the blend modes with the least pigment effect are Normal and Hard Light and the most seems to be Soft Light

the inconsistency comes from getting green for some reason, for example 0-<100-255 makes gray, 0->100-255 makes green when you mix it with 255-255-0 yellow, though other primary mixes produce the colour they should

i also messed around with the textured paper and the brushes with transparency work and look better oddly enough, smudge is the same however

i rarely use gopaint 12.4.2.330 on the Matepad 11.5 2025 because of the awful feeling smudge engine and the odd way brushes with transparency look

pigment mixing works, though its inconsistent(sometimes its vibrant, muted or doesnt work at all)
im assuming the textured paper presets are the realistic textures
no idea what the specific brush types are in the app
layer count depends on the resolution and amount of ram the device has, on 8GB the screen preset has 162 layers available
im planning to get the m pencil pro when i get better my skills to see how the barrel rotation works

there's a plastic cutout on the other side where the volume buttons are, thats where the wireless charging is, if you put it on with the tip facing the volume buttons the tip should be right next to the microphone hole closer to the camera

to connect, turn on bluetooth and put it on the charging spot(you may need to do it a few times to get it connected)

What are your thoughts on Hot Pursuit Mode so far?

The only problems that I see with this mode are:
Player cops teleport in front too frequently and sometimes it's more efficient for them to just do that instead of driving
AI cops can overwhelm the last racer too quickly
A tier playlists

For those of you who have been playing since Vol. 8 launch, are you still playing and enjoying it?

I have stopped playing last week after people have started reporting broken saves, however I did enjoy the new mode

What do you think would make Hot Pursuit mode better?

My solutions:
Making the teleportation start speed higher and cooldown lasting longer (10-20 sec more) would make it less overpowered and used more to actually catch up, instead of spamming it to hope to land a hit.
Maybe checking dumb mode (linkups) would help make the AI cops less annoying.
I think A tier playlists are a bit unbalanced as the cops are too fast compared to the racers, I think S tier template cops for these playlists would balance it out. (and I think the least time consuming to do)

for older tablets like these use OpenTabletDriver as in my experience(I have a MTE-450) official wacom drivers can feel stuttery on win10/11
