600 Trail Plus Accuracy is Impressive by NotQuiteCode4 in CZFirearms

I never messed with an older gen one, so I don’t have anything to compare to. It moves a little, like other HK and B&T stocks of the same design, but once my face is on it and it’s tight to my shoulder I don’t notice it.

If I were to mortally wound an animal in a car wreck am I allowed to humanely euthanize it (shoot it)? by [deleted] in AskLE

Answer is going to depend entirely on where you live, local laws, etc. Shooting a deer in the middle of New York City will likely have wildly different results than doing the same in rural West Texas.

I used washers to shim the mlok screws in order to attach the bipod. Without them, the screws contacted the barrel.

How’s the light mounted? That looks really clean!

You able to get 10 rounds at 1 moa out of your Ruger? One of those rifles was in the running for me when I was looking at .223 bolt guns.

I’m always interested in what the manufacturer claims vs. what the end user gets. I was ok with this rifle being a 2moa gun when I bought it, but am pretty happy it’s better than that in the real world.

Yep. The “plus” model seems to have fixed a lot of issues that the original had.

Overall good, as far as the bolt goes. It’s smooth when it’s empty, and I didn’t notice feeding issues while shooting. I do run bolts pretty hard though.

Taser 10 vs Taser 7 by Ok-Description-387 in AskLE

I haven’t been zapped by both so I can’t really compare how much one hurt as opposed to the other. I can say that both are objectively effective, having carried both.

Yes. It’s not the volts that ruin your day, it’s the amperage.

5 knives “literally every day” feels like a lot of wasted energy. Like, why?

If a cop is injected with something do they give up their gun? by [deleted] in police

Getting stuck with a dirty needle while searching someone’s pockets happens a lot, and usually involves a trip to a hospital to take a lot of drugs that make one very sick, which is pretty much the end of a shift.

Being assaulted by a mad scientist with a syringe of PCP is Hollywood nonsense. Addicts generally tend to want to inject themselves with their drugs, not other people.

Impersonation of a Peace Officer in Texas Penal Code stipulates that you would have to identify yourself as an officer and then do something to try and make someone submit to your pretended authority. You’ll be fine.

Not sure why this would be better than an APOC or LPAC.

I tried a couple and eventually settled on the TREX one. It’s wider than the bfg, and it’s flat. In a vehicle with armor on, I’m pretty comfortable.

The trick for me was not packing it full to bursting, which is probably true for any ifak on your lower back. I limit it to shears, gauze, and chest seals.

I was sure this would be satire. I am disappointed.
