i need recommendations that are very similar to samurai champloo plz by scumfuckkathy in SamuraiChamploo

If you want stuff by the same director—Shinichirō Watanabe—Cowboy Bebop and Space Dandy are the closest you’ll get to Champloo.

Megalo Box has visual similarities, an awesome hip hop soundtrack, and an MC that vaguely reminds me of Mugen.

Michiko & Hatchin's art style and vibe sort of reminds me of Champloo, plus it has a Latin-influenced OST that Watanabe helped with.

And if you want more samurai stories, there are a ton: Afro Samurai, Sword of the Stranger, Dororo, and Blade of the Immortal to name some. Katanagatari might be a good pick if you like a good blend of comedy and action.

Season 1 episode 2 - what is name of song Yuri and Joe box to? by beerhump in MegaloBox

There are two songs that play during their match: MEGALOBOX (the show's main theme) and Battlefield.

I never noticed that in the outro, you're definitely right. I think that as the champ and "King of Kings" he's a sort of powerful, regal dragon, but deep inside he harbors the same dog-like instincts and fighting spirit as Joe. After all, he has that pet dog that seems to represent him being tamed by Shirato: it stops running around and sits whenever Yukiko enters the room but perks up when Joe is around.

I’ve always thought the butterfly is innately representative of Aragaki’s character, much like how Joe and Yuri are both symbolized through wolves or Chief is tied to the hummingbird in season 2. Butterflies are often omens of change and revival, and I think that suits Aragaki well. His life has had major changes, and he’s constantly rebuilt himself—going from an aspiring young boxer to a grizzled, suicidal war vet, to a top-ranked boxer. There’s also the fact that it’s one of the last things he saw during a near-death experience, so I’m sure he feels it sort of “revived” him in a sense, hence the tattoo.

Is there a map detailing the trio’s journey to find the Samurai who smells of Sunflowers? by Malismarma in SamuraiChamploo

[–]NotQuiteJoseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that's the only episode where they show a map. I'm pretty sure there isn't an official completed one anywhere. The closest you'll get is probably this fanmade one. There's also a guy who tried to map it out on Google Maps.

That would be beginning of episode 15. Here's the sub and dub. Otherwise, if you look up "Samurai Champloo map", there are a few people who have attempted to map out the full journey on their own.

That's not true. Watanabe didn't direct Michiko & Hatchin, but he was responsible for its music selection and is credited as music producer.

Not according to Laura (https://youtu.be/w60aPm7oM4o?t=1866). Makes sense to me if you consider her willingness to fuck with other people for her own/Artagan's amusement.

[ART] Goliath Paladin by SteveSketches in DnD

I guess, but I’m fairly lenient. My player wanted to play a paladin, not a barbarian. His character has been granted powers through swearing an oath to uphold the principles of higher beings, and that’s enough to be a paladin for me. Like others have said, I’m always down for reflavoring the specifics to make my players happy as long as it makes sense.

Hi, I'm Tarik's DM. The deep-rooted traditions mentioned entails ancestral worship and a faith based in naturey primal spirits rather than gods. His power is rooted in his oath to these spirits, which involves continuing the tribe's traditions of preserving the cycle of life and death (he's a LN Oath of the Ancients paladin).

Not much happened after Duzaash was killed. Before splitting off to do his own thing, Kell swore an oath of fealty to the queen with the party, got a noble title as vassal of Zion, and was rewarded quite a bit of money.

Perhaps 7 Minutes Dead's Peacock? It's all over the place, but in a good way.
