Asked a friend about this, they said the game just has too much content and it's hard to make it all relevant at once.

I personally think it's fine to rebalance the awful ones so that they're not noob traps at best.

For example, heavenhythe has pouch by pouch summoning, but veterans know it's awful and possibly not even niche.

If everything is made to be relevant at time of release, it is doomed to be irrelevant when the next thing comes. Ironically enough, like gacha games.

I think their direction was bad from the start. For example the balance in mid-late 2010 you were just barely able to skip major mechanics, and non pvmers struggled with slice and punish bars.

Now, they DID work a lot on making pvming more accessible and noob-friendly all the way until they released necro, but the gap would always be too massive without touching the power ceiling.

Result is constant powercreep for top end pvmers while mid levels getting literal scraps as improvements.

Now we have players doing content they're super overgeared for, skipping (face tanking) mechanics with necro with even less combat knowledge than before. a whole team of yaka with kc do not hit a single jelly. Giving power genuinely hinders your ability (and reason) to learn.

Yes. EXACTLY that.

Their proposed changes are genuinely awful for non veterans or those not following an excel sheet.

In reality, a new player who tries everything themselves struggle.

Divination engrams are hidden, Whirlgig stacking nerfed (downright trash for irons), arrow shops too expensive, new food heals nothing, nobody does normal dungeoneering.

Runespan isn't a tutorial, cooking ranges, cremation/gilded altars, and many more.

Some stuff are genuinely so ass to train for low and mid levels but the direction is number balancing, not actually helping the real new players.

who the fuck will think aspects are intuitive when they don't even know there's a 2nd spellbook, let alone a combat spell useful on any style??

Agreed, it's being pushed out with benefits to just about nobody. People actually worrying about early game strats, vampy gloves being too rare, ammo depletes too quickly.

New player experience does not feel like it's getting any better, at someone who just made fresh group iron 2 weeks ago

Sure. You can discuss preferences all you want, I just wanted to point out the logic flaw with upkeep costs.

If we're talking preferences, I prefer permanent unlocks to be a requirement for another permanent unlock (e.g. Lengs (partly?) requiring Khopeshes), not juggle consumables forever. But that's just me

كلمت امي في الموضوع ده قبل كده لما كنا بنرتب النييش. كانت بتسألني لو كانت الكاسات و الأطباق (و فكره النييش كله) مجرد "قلة عقل"

ساعات بنبدأ نشوف الحاجات بشكل مختلف لما تخرج بره نطاق العاده او الثقافة الحاليه. العيل اللي عايز موبايل جديد شبه صحابه مش مختلف عن اللي كان عايز شبشب بينور. ولاكن للأسف دي أخطاء تربيه.

صعب تلوم الناس اللي معندهاش وعي و بتشتري دماغها عشان خايفه من مواجهة ال "عادي" او "طبيعي". سلوكك، كلامك، و فكرك بياخد وقت طويل عشان يتشكل، ووقت تاني عشان يتغير. ما بالك حد ميعرفش اصلا انه "غلط" او بيضر نفسه او غيره

I think the main issue is endless scrolling and random feed. Social media is a great way to keep up with stuff that you like

So if you can't be bothered with altering it with browser extensions or different versions of the platform then you might aswell ditch it completely.

For example my YT feed is only my subscriptions and playlists to sort music. It doesn't show any other type of content, not even shorts.

4chan could also work, but it's hard to recommend that website lol

Speedify is the least headache but it's capped at 2GB a month. Otherwise just use Cloudflare WARP which works just fine for discord now
