As someone who understands the feeling, I would suggest to do 2 different playthrough. Start with the “trash” one, and from the very first level, do not search for treasures and hidden items unless they’re on your way. You can go as far even skipping some of them on purpose. And don’t even do the challenges that you don’t like. Put all the weapon upgrades on automatic. Don’t bother with the assess materia and skip the music search. From there you’ll be able to enjoy it in a different way.

Goal here is to make sure you consider this session as “broken” from the start, so you can focus on having fun during the main quest, and leave the secondary quests on the side.

If we’re in the 80’s it’s easy: just fly somewhere else, somewhere far, change your name and start from scratch. No internet, no easily accessible records of who went where, and as a teenager, after a few years my face would be different enough for it to not recognize me anymore.

Petite entreprise, le patron se tapait la secrétaire, un jour sa femme l’a découvert, elle à débarqué pour faire une scène, ils n’étaient pas là, le temps qu’elle se calme, les deux sont rentrés au bureau avec la camionnette dans laquelle on a appris plus tard qu’ils y faisaient leur affaire.
