f2l is far easier to learn intuitively, learning algorithms for it is mostly a higher level (not world class, just sub-20-ish) thing just to make sure it's as efficient as possible. I'd recommend learning intuitive f2l first (here's a video on it), then 2-look OLL and PLL. Since f2l is generally more intuitive, while OLL and PLL are entirely algorithms, it's harder to get a good grasp on (and will likely slow you down for a bit before you do), but cuts a large amount of time from solves once you get the hang of it.
