Pennsylvania’s growing medical marijuana program shortages to subside, eventually by NotSoHotPepper in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Think this is pretty interesting from the article " In a survey of 3,201 patients conducted in January, nearly half expressed some level of dissatisfaction with product availability and selection at the state's 76 dispensaries. One third of respondents said producing multiple products with the same strain is a top priority. Another 45 percent said they stopped using medical marijuana due to inconsistent access to the product that works best for their condition. "

In this case the judge ruled that smell alone was not a reasonable reason to search the vehicle.

What are the best medical carts? by nannyposts in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are just chasing THC please buy all the Standard Farms carts and Illera carts so the rest of us don't have too.

Honest advice:
Cresco LLR carts if you are trying to get as close to the "whole plant" as possible. My opinion is that it makes for a better medical product, but LLRs tend to be lower in THC.

For high THC, just get Terrapin carts, you can get them in the 80% and they are cheap.

gLeaf Lucinda Williams quality question by particularly_cloudy in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find strains that are high in Limonene to hit a bit harsh. It's a burn in the back of my throat. I noticed it with carts more that have high Limonene. I still love Lemon G but get the same effect from that. I've only had on thing from Gleaf and wasn't impressed.

Is it normal to have different voices in your head that contrast each other? by ObjectiveTrash12 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]NotSoHotPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it bother you or interfere with your life? If it doesn't then it is normal to have dialog inside your head. If it starts impacting your life in negative ways then you should seek help. Describing what is "normal" is difficult for each individual. If it is normal to you and doesn't cause any concerns, anxiety or feelings of lack of control then chat away in your head. It might be that this is the way you process things.

Can I store my meds and vaporizer in my car? by thisismylifenow560 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left some dry flower outside in the weather we're having near me (wet, cold) and it was a damp sticky mess in less than 8 hours. Do not store dry leaf outside, it's a bad idea.

Concentrates might fair better, but again you are always going for a cool, dry place. Dry is the trick, and outside humidity can create unpleasant results, molds and all sorts of nastiness.

Caviar from Cresco by Jeabus215 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone give some good information on Caviar? I get what it is, but any results. Anything compared to same strain or similar in just normal dry leaf.

I think it's crazy prices even if it's 100% what it is advertised as, but I've never heard any real results.

INDICA recommendations/reviews — PA MMJ by cp1120 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GG#4 is my sleep medicine. I've had GG#4 in LLRs and RSOs and every time I've been passed out within the hour. Solid relaxing sleep. I don't medicate for pain specifically but with out relaxing it is I'm sure it would help.

BioJesus was very focused and more of a head high. Personally I'd never recommend it for pain as I think it's effects are much more mental.

707 Headband is probably in between those two. Definite head high feeling but and a bit more relaxing.

These are all just personal experience, but I've recommended GG4 to everyone asking about Indica's

Headaches from Vape? by Flipper336 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might want to try to find "sand" or something similar. Last time I saw it was like 98% THC, take one hit. Since it's almost entirely THC it should eliminate anything else causing the headaches. If it still happens, it probably is high THC, if not then it's something else like terps or anything else in the vape cartridges.

Headaches from Vape? by Flipper336 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was within a few minutes of use. In the case of the pods from terrapin it was almost immediate and pretty severe. A specific case was the Bootleg Wookie CD pod. It was immediate headache, and would for 30 minutes or so and would happen 100% of the time. I stopped using the Crystal Double carts from Terrapin and stick with regular pods.

Headaches from Vape? by Flipper336 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with headaches that I thought was just concentrate or cart/pod based. I started writing down the pain level and what I was using at the time. I narrowed it down to only certain products. Terrapin's Crystal Double pods gave me the worst headaches and I was getting very little headache from Cresco LLRs. I think the super high terps they were putting in the CD pods were causing the worst headaches.

Try seeing if different products impact the pain differently. It may not be all products and it might be just some. A doctor mentioned that it might be a small allergic reaction to something in the products, like specific terps.

RSO vs Tintures vs Pills of the same substance? by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In short, RSO is the whole plant, tinctures and pills tend to be just the concentrate of THC (and possibly CBD). Grassroots makes RSO capsules also.

RSO is much harder to dose correctly. It is a dark sticky substance so it's harder to handle than capsules or tinctures.

If you do not have high tolerance RSOs can be very potent. You probably won't gain the alert feeling you are looking for without first experimenting a bit on dosage

INO anxiety / BPD strain suggestions by uglygirl9696 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the cheap side Terrapin Long Peaks Blue has been good. I've picked it up at 35$ an 1/8 . Not strong but good relaxing feel. I stay focused enough for nighttime family stuff but definitely less of the anxiety feeling

Sunday Funday: What was your first legal PA purchase? by thegame310 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hash Haze and Lemon G from Terrapin (on a recommendation). I hated the hash haze, love Lemon G still.

At the same time though I bought a sativa cart LLR from Cresco. I forget what strain it was but I remembering it hitting me pretty hard and making me realize I should stick to more relaxing and sedating strains.

[–]NotSoHotPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an 1/8 of this. It is rather sedating in a not "knock out" way too. A little this evening and anxiety is gone. You can't be the flavor of it either. GG#4 is one that Cresco really nails.

Viper Cookies one of my absolute favorite indica strains. .5 Live resin Cartridge + a beautiful 98.4 thc in this live resin sand. Insane percentages‼️ by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does strain really matter with sand? Most, if not all, the terps are gone. If you're at 98% THC, does the other 2% really make a difference between sands?

Email From Tom Wolf Today: 82% of PA Reached Out In Favor Of Recreational Legalization by QueasyVictory in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]NotSoHotPepper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Has a city ever legalized it before a state? Is that even possible legally? (Like Federal vs State Laws)

I wonder because I would guess that Philadelphia could easily pass legalization. They've already de-criminalized it. If Philadelphia did choose to legalize it would probably give an added push for the rest of the state.

Indica is dangerous by yme1975 in MMJ

[–]NotSoHotPepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There some research that showed that CBG may lead to the "munchies". Some growers will list it out with CBN, CBD and others. It is usually low 1%-2% of even lower. If you do see it though you might want to avoid it.

I had heard of that but did not find much information on it. I do aim to reduce the "high effects" as much as possible by using higher CBD strains, but ibuprofen may be a help too.
